Manufacturing can be moved anywhere and components are shipped to China for assembly. Lots of products are designed here including the standard for TV's and the screen you're looking at right now. Just like the AC's and the electronic systems in your cars. If you have a GPS its origin is right here. Now be a good German and make something we otherwise invented. You're just down the food chain a bit.

The AK has long ago had its day. It's really a sub gun with a bit more range and bit more punch. The weapon defaults to full auto. Virtually every other weapon defaults to semi.

Nope, you lack the specialists to build it. USA lost its industrial work force long ago. The screen i look at was build and developed by Siemens. USA does not develop this, its developed in Germany, Japan and South Korea.

The electronic systems in our cars are developed by Bosch. A german corporation which also supplies GM and Ford.

You are down the food chain. Just check exports and imports. We virtually buy nothing american made while we export billions to USA. Your own president cries about that.

Our foreign minister said he should stop crying and americans should maybe start to produce stuff we want.

America hasn't lost it's industrial work force, I'm still alive along with millions of boomers who know how to design and build things.

What America lost was it's industrial base that under NAFTA and other really stupid trade agreements allowed America's industrial base to be shipped off shore.

I'm an engineer by trade and have attended many international engineering seminars and conferences over the decades. I remember one German engineer telling me where America went wrong. He said back when America was still great and it was all about quality in America the manufacturing companies were run by engineers, machinist and those in sales. Today they are run by accountants, lawyers and those with a BA in business who don't know jack **** about what they are manufacturing. The only thing that matters is the bottom line. Quality has gone into the crapper.

When you are talking about America there is no ethnicity as American.

The largest ethnic group in America is still German. More immigrants came from Germany and Austria than any other country. That could be changing with the Frankenstein that the Democrats have created in the name of political correctness and diversity.

The progressives used scientific studies to find out who made the best American's. Funny that the English didn't make the top five.

    Who did ?

    Germans, Scot-Irish, Norwegians, Irish, Scots.

Why not the English ? To many trouble makers and anarchist.

America back when it was great use to make high quality stuff, Germany still does.

Thats maybe the core problem. In Germany we have the problem to often "over engineer" stuff.

When you look at airlines for example our national carrier is Lufthansa. An airline with gigantic renomee and it makes huge profits while paying luxury salaries to its employees. Meanwhile american airlines crouch on the floor.

Why? Because Lufthansa CEO is a pilot. It can happen you book a flight and the CEO is your captain. Unthinkable over there.

Here most CEO of our largest corporations are engineers.

When you look at Bosch, its a very old german corporations. Makes billions of profits each year and is still in the hands of its founder family.

How would you imagine such a billionare looks like?
