"If White House staff members were involved, they would be in violation of the executive branch’s Standards of Ethical Conduct, which ban employees from using their office for “the endorsement of any product, service or enterprise.”

"The issue is if the president enlists others in government to use government time or government resources to attack certain media outlets, while implicitly preferring others.”

    https://www.politico.com/story/2018/...-ethics-339183

Well you know the President isn't going to do come up with a list on his own, and he will have to run it by the White House attorneys

Not that it matters, the last thing this President or even his Administrarion is concern about is ethics or ethical behavior

The "Awards" (if they indeed even happen at all) are only going to appeal to 2 groups:

    1) The Fox "News" RW Fever Swamp Circle Jerk Crowd

    And

    2) The Late Night Shows that will use them for Comic Fodder.

Nobody else will even care. :bored:

There was already a fake news award polling the American Public. See my signature.

FOX won by a significant margin.

Further more, most polls on trust rankings has FOX and other far right media associates losing out big time.

Unless Trump's award has proper data and methodology, which it likely won't, It will just be a sham.

I see the left is already crapping bricks about being on that list which I hope to god Trump justifies by using examples of the MSM's lies and bogus reporting. This could be a yuge poke in the eye to the top media outlets who wrote fake news and whoever wins will be a joke for months to come.

Your signature says 40% of the people don't trust Fox News which is the only conservative news channel out there, but 60% of the people say the liberal media can't be trusted and their problem seems to be they can't agree on which one is the worst.

Hell. if the buffoon actually does something as childish and immature - like give out his "Fake News Awards" the media should present the clown with a Fake President Award, right in the press room at the White House.

They never stated this, and the poll never asked this. It was 1v1v1v1v1v1, not 1v5. It was rating the accuracy of each station. The pollster running it even stated Fox specifically won that measure. Anything else is speculation.

Furthermore, when you look at more conservative media outlets:

    A clear trend is seen.

IMO, the reason why those RW "media" outlets are generally less trusted is due to their more "op-ed", "click baity", and "theoretical" nature. Rather than having more direct news.

I think Trump already realized this would be harder then he thought, as other then some simple errors, most of what the press has said about him or what he has said is true

I think the job is hard because Trump has always been a problem solver rather than someone who votes present. He's trying to find real answers to our problems while Obama would criticize people, not other politicians, but regular people, who didn't go along with him as bible clingers and the like. Trumps solves problems, Obama tried to guilt people into accepting his half assed solutions.

I'm not saying Trump never criticized regular people, but I can't remember him ever doing so. Obama seemed to take sides when regular people clashed and instead of solving the problem he often took a side that was chosen by race, religion and other times by politics.

So much garbage in 2 simple sentences...Colbert is DYING for a Fakie... nobody is "crapping bricks", it won't be a 'poke in the eye' and whoever wins will be celebrated around the world for winning the first (hopefully annual) Fakie!! But as long as Trump is distracted by this, it's all good...

    Yeah.

But, let's not forget Colbert's epic acceptance speech after he wins.

Dear Leader openly attacked Fox News and the left's army of giant brained media hacks and lawyers said boo.

I had to read that line over three times, "I'm not saying Trump never critized regular people, but I don't remember him doing so."

He defianately resides in an illusionary reality

I see you are still ignoring the reality when you total up the liberal channels it outnumbers the single so called "conservative" news channel :)

LOL Stil running around with the fake poll I see.

What a shocker you didn't include the idiolological breakdown of the people asked.

    http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2017/08/americas_most_trusted_news_sourcesare_british.html

3 times more oversampled liberals vs conservative. What a shocker you bought it too. :)

I will not ignore the official statements of the actual pollster. You are entitled to your own opinion based off of your own theories on the data.

But actual pollsters of these polls have the final say, based off of their methodologies.

This is a common trend, if you do not buy Rasmussen's analysis:

    A bit dated, but still

The blog you posted in no way refutes this "fake" poll. Like many far right blogs, they do not seem to understand how polls work,

They use proper methodology. As explained in the poll.

This is as silly as that guy who said the CBS Dreamer poll was false since it had slightly higher Democrat sampling.

You guys really have to do research on polling.

Also, their data shows a similar trend to Rassmusen, Pew, and MorningConsult.

    Are all 4 pollsters wrong?

    And in that report:

Any effort to draw distinctions between different news sources must keep in mind that survey data are subject to a margin of sampling error, and one should use appropriate caution

Every poll states their sampling error....

Are you...are you serious right now? Like, are you messing with me?

All 4 polls I've linked in this thread state their error margin.

When you pretend its accurate it certainly does :)

Pro Tip: If you over-sample one political group by 3 times the number of people polled you will not have an accurate poll. :)
