If Trump burned everybody alive who didn't vote for him, would you then condemn him?

Just like no one is forcing a person to pay the MAFIA protection money.....see how that works!? Jesus works by fear and intimidation, just like the Mafia. Think about that, and how evil Jesus really is (unless of course you APPROVE of the Mafia's protection money racket, that is.)

Jesus doesn't exist, he isn't real, yet you talk like he is watching over your shoulder.

Sorry if I'm not clear - I'm saying that people would condemn Trump for torturing all that don't vote for him, but also APPROVE of the barbaric Jesus who in the Bible does the very same thing (sends those that don't "vote for" Jesus to brutal torture in "hell".) They are hypocrites.

Another good point. Like I've written before, I'd ideally preface every statement about "Jesus" with "If the Bible that you believe is actually true, then................"

If a person thought that Frodo was actually real, then you'd condemn them as delusional. You just wrote "Jesus doesn't exist", so can we both agree that Christians are delusional?

I love people more than you and Jesus and Moses and Mohammad do, so I can't stand to see people, such as non-believers, gays, women, etc., hated as much as the texts of those religions hate people.

    I care because I'm not a barbarian like Jesus/Moses/Mohammad, that's why.

no, cause Im polite and mature and therefore dont feel the need to attack people in such a way.

see, i am intelligent and mature enough to disagree with Communists, Fascists, Muslims, Christians, Conservatives, without calling them names.

see, I am intelligent and mature enough to not need to attack people in order to try to win a debate.

I am smart enough to be able to just rely on the merits of my arguments.

other folks, are insecure in their beliefs and therefore have to make personal attacks, cause they got nuthin else

Jesus was dead for a century by the time Revelation was written. John of Patmos never met Jesus.

I admire you for that. You are apparently more respectful towards people than Jesus (and maybe me) is, so you are to be commended for that:
Jesus disrespects people by calling them “blind fools!” - Matthew 23:17.

Jesus disrespected people by calling them names by referring to them as mere animals - calling them “a brood of vipers”, which are despicable animals – Matthew 12:34.

Continuing with calling people animals, Jesus indirectly referred to “unholy” people as “dogs” - Matthew 7:6.

Jesus’ name calling knew no respectable bounds as he called people almost the worst name possible - “serpents” - Matthew 23:33 (ASV)

Jesus indirectly referred to “unholy” people as “pigs” - Matthew 7:6

Jesus was not the only Biblical hero to disrespect people as Jesus’ New Testament mentor (John The Baptist) called people an awful name (“a brood of vipers”) - Matthew 3:7.

In the New Testament Jesus derogatorily called someone an animal (a derogatory term, of course - a “fox”.) – Luke 13:32.

So the Bible is a lie, you're saying. That would make most Christians delusional. Too bad they don't have the moral courage to CHANGE/IMPROVE the Bible, then.

Democracy at the time wasn’t anything to speak favorably about.

You keep avoiding the question, how do you create a successful representative republic with political freedoms and protected rights when 95% of the population is uneducated illiterates and it takes months to travel between provinces and the capital?

If Trump burned anyone alive I would support his immediate impeachment and imprisonment without question.

Though I'm an Atheist, I've never been much persuaded by the argument that an omnipotent, omnibenevolent being necessarily must provide pleasant consequences for all of his subjects. It assumes consequentialism from the get go.

Where do you get that I said “the Bible is a lie” from me correctly identifying who wrote Revelation?

Where do the sciences of psychology or psychiatry say religious beliefs are delusions? Or should they be rejected like a young earth creationist does with geology?

That's not terribly different than during the democracies that DID exist over the last centuries, actually.
Since Jesus approved of monarchies and slavery and dictatorships, people would assume that THAT was the best way to go - he told them the wrong thing! Jesus got it wrong, so of course he was not perfect/god, obviously.

Hehe, yes, Obama blamed Muslim riots on a truth-telling Youtube movie. He even got the producer of that movie put in jail.
