Ah yes. They are just here to make a positive contribution to our society right? And this story of criminal DACA recepients is hardly new and it certainly wont be the last. Why should these people jump the line in front of the thousands of legal immigrants who have paid the dues, studied our history and cared enough to be legal again?

DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) recipients were arrested in two separate incidents of human smuggling operations in California over the course of two days last week.
The first, a 22-year-old Mexican DACA recipient of Riverside County, was questioned on January 25 after the arrest of two illegal aliens. The man allegedly admitted to border patrol agents that he was on scouting duty as part of a human smuggling crew. The DACA beneficiary allegedly had been monitoring border patrol activities and relaying them to other members of the crew to facilitate their human smuggling activities.

This was not, apparently, the man’s first alleged participation in human smuggling, as he had allegedly participated in multiple alien smuggling operations. As of Tuesday, he was in the custody of the Department of Homeland Security for removal proceedings, having violated the terms of his DACA status....

In a separate incident on January 24, three illegal aliens in their early 20s were arrested. Agents with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) were first alerted to a suspected smuggling attempt through a tip from private citizens near Torrey Pines State Beach.

Agents discovered a vehicle with the three illegal aliens inside. The driver was a 20-year-old DACA recipient whose status had lapsed. His 22-year-old cousin, a Mexican national also illegally in the country, but not a DACA recipient, was in the passenger seat. The two allegedly admitted to agents that they were involved in human smuggling in the area.

The third man in the car was a 21-year-old Mexican national being smuggled by the two cousins, a CBP public relations officer clarified for Breitbart News on Tuesday. All three were taken into custody.

Two criminals out of hundreds of thousands in any demographic is hardly surprising and I am sure there may be quite a few more dreamers who are not ideal citizens. That is just statistics. What this does show is the need to vet immigrants and only allow those that have a good chance of being a productive American in. I am pretty sure Trumps proposed immigration plan will weed people like these out

They are all criminals the second they turn eighteen and become adults and stayed here instead of going back to their nations of birth right away. Then one settled they can apply for immigration the right way since as minor children they are frankly innocent of blame.

The left acts as though dreamers are sacrosanct and beyond reproach. They are neither and this needs to be pointed out.

I agree. All immigrants regardless of country of origin need proper vetting and be required to put some skin in the game for their citizenship. The value of something that is not earned is zero

current and prospective 'protected groups' can only be victims, never victimizers. or so I'm told, and if one peruses the politically self-serving dreck Legacy/Left Media calls 'news', it would seem to be the case

It does show the border is not secure, there's still human smuggling occurring and the left lied about both.

Immigrants are vetted. Illegals are by definition not vetted because they to not show up at immigration offices and say " here I am I'm an illegal, vetted me in case I become legal".

    Smuggle?
There's no wall, no need to smuggle.
    Just walk across the border.

Immigrants are vetted. Illegals are not vetted since they skip the immigration process. DACAlites should be vetted in the same way that I was vetted when I applied for citizenship. If we are going to eventually grant citizenship to DACAlites they need to wait twice the normal amount of time before applying for citizenship. My legal immigrant parents had to wait five years befire applying for citizenship. DACAlites should wait ten years unless they are or have served in the military then make it five years. The vetting process should be just like the vetting hat Inwent through which was an FBI bacground check which included a fingerprint check.

Maybe they liked smuggling since they thought it felt good.

Perhaps you're not familiar with the area, but the north/south highway in that area is Hwy 15 and in the Temecula area there is a border checkpoint. and they patrol the side streets looking for people trying to evade it. Hwy 15 takes a person right up to the crap holes we talked about yesterday; Perris, Mead Valley, Moreno Valley, etc. Once you get past the border check points you're home free.

well according to Trump it's that easy, but obviously not, most people that come here illegal do it by other means, often by overstaying a visa

I can go to other countries legally easy enough too, it's staying that is harder as I could not get a job... it's the employers here that are the problem as they hire illegals... make it a felony with a mandatory 10 year sentence to knowingly hire an illegal and the problem goes away

Trump's wall will do nothing to stop this

    Again, go around. Walk in.
That's why a wall is needed, amirite? Because it's just so easy to waltz right in.
    No need for smuggling.

Will it stop any of the any of the illegal drugs that cross the un-walled border every day for the last, oh, 50 years or so?

Here's the other reason why having a wall will ease deportation problems.

When we want to deport someone now, we have to drive them down to Mexico, fill out some forms, wait around for them to take them, put them on planes and send them back.

    All very expensive and inefficient.

When the wall is built and we want to deport someone, all we need to do is open the gate, push them through, and close the door.

    Deported.

The worst ones are stopped by a wall, and aren't looking to work a regular job.

Where the wall ends that’s where we put our security people.

Do we have to give them their customary baloney sandwich in a go- (doggie) bag?

Think of what California would look like if their current wall wasn't there and there was no border patrol.
