Ah the memories. I live next to Milwaukee so I got to see first hand what the BLM movement did in this area. They were pulling white people out of cars and beating them. You wouldn't have heard about it except for all the cell phone footage those yahoos posted. The entire incident happened over a black police officer shooting a guy who had a gun pointed at him and it was all on camera but they still rioted over that claiming "injustice". This is why most sane people yawn at the BLM movement.

First, never demand someone do anything for you. You haven't earned the right to demand someone invest the time. That is just a cop out on your part. You know how many times I've met that demand, only to see the hose bag disappear, never to acknowledge they were wrong?

Why do you think so many people call out CNN for peddling fake news? Is it just some collective delusion? Never any evidence, but hey, everybody else is saying CNN peddles fake news, so I'll join in?

CNN fired, or they "accepted the resignation" of an entire crew of journalists when it was discovered they lied about the information in their reports. Did you forget that?

The 4th Estate, by and large, has committed professional suicide in it's quest to generate revenue. It doesn't report the news, it feeds a target audience dog whistles, otherwise known as click bait.

And it's clear they've good you, hook, line, and click.

 

What is so fascinating to me is that the intelligence of his base is being insulted by pathological lying And they don’t even realize it. The best example was the other day when he was interviewed and bashing the British leader. it is live and when he realized he goofed he just said, “fake news” even though it’s on tape his base still believe him. They probably still think he had the largest inauguration and they probably still think they got the biggest tax cut ever. He can say anything and they will lap it up.

 

The right refuses to play the lefts game and they throw a temper tantrum.

Fact is, NOBODY treated Obama this way. Not even conservative outlets.

You see what you don’t seem to understand is that fox will be first place because they are the only station that is appealing to the right wing extremists. CNN and all the other major networks divide people who want to get news. MSNBC is a liberal station the way fox is a right wing state But liberals watch many many stations so if you put them altogether you would learn that more people watch mainstream media then right wing media

You are correct that Fox does get more viewership because it's target audience is concentrated.

What you are failing to understand is that all the other media outlets are liberal in story selection and presentation. When taken as a whole, the collective audience of the left's media partners is something like 5-10x's greater than Fox.

Consider that. The left is absolutely obsessed with Fox. It's the Alex Jones of broadcast media to them.

Yet, it hits an audience of perhaps 5 million, based on ratings. 62 million people voted for Trump. The left would have people believe all 62 million are Fox News watchers. Impossible, based on ratings.

It's that kind of logic they display, that makes it really easy to claim there is an intellectual disconnect among many people on the left.

 

Right. No mealy mouth BS pandering. I remember when he got elected, I said, "This is going to be interesting!"

And I remember when Obama was first running, he promised a high level of transparency. That is not what we got. Trump, on the other hand, is the most transparent, plain-speaking president in my lifetime.

 

First, never make a claim if you can't back it up. You say CNN is fake news? Prove it.

I can't think of any story they have reported that has proved to have been wrong.

To Trump (and apparently you) fake news = anything unflattering to Trump. Nothing other than that.

But, thank you for allowing me to cut this exchange short, by demonstrating, as I mentioned, these "prove it" demands from posters are a total waste of time. Once proven, they just run, or in your case, completely ignore.

Why IS CNN called Fake News? That's easy enough. Because in a large sense it no longer IS news - just a left-wing narrative.

Now don't get me wrong - there's nothing wrong with that. MSNBC, Mother Jones, Rolling Stone - all of them do the same thing. But they wear their biases proudly. You know exactly what you're getting when you follow them. But CNN? For some odd reason they still peddle the idea that they're neutral and factual when in fact they're anything but. So yeah - they are fake news because for all intents and purposes they're closer to DNC propaganda than actual, factual news. They've taken a stand for the left and they're sticking to it.

And really, when you get right down to it, they do the narrative thing well. Planting question cards during debates in order to sell the party line is but one of many things they do in order to sell the illusion that they call it right down the middle:

What lies has Acosta told that his credentials should be revoked. Maybe he should lay down like the cowards at Fox News and repeat the lies that is being told.

 

I'm pretty sure the statement made yesterday by dept AG said, "no Americans were involved". Did I not see that? Is that the second time they have said something to that effect?

Yeah about those scary indictments of Mueller -- none of which mysteriously have anything whatsoever to do with actual Trump/Russia collusion -- just how many ham sandwiches is the fellow going to indict before some judge finally gets enough of the pathetic RINO showboating and kicks his rump? Judges DO lose patience with prosecutors wasting their time and the court's resources.

 

I’ll tell you one thing, since Trump’s election, CNN is no longer a news source that I take at its word. It has joined the ranks of sources like FOX and Huffington Post, which I will read but also will fact check against other sources.

Recently, I’ve begun looking for more localized sources for specific stories. The smaller the source, in my opinion, the less it has to lose from telling the truth.

An election took place. Trump won. Try nominating a better candidate next time. If you consider the elected President of the US a hostile power you are a traitor.

 

Story retracted and the people involved were fired. They changed their policies to make sure it didn't happen again.

It doesn't support the charge of fake news. It supports the charge of a few bad reporters that were then tossed out.

Trump cries "fake news" all the time - and every time the story is later confirmed as true.

Trump is undermining American principles of transparency and free press. It is anti-American and you are cheering him on.

 

Is that why you love Trump so much because of all the bullshit that is spewed on a daily basis.
