I had the past 3 days off from work, and so I went scouting for elk.

Today is my rest day before work tonight.

 

That was quite a rain Texas got.

Tube tops do not go with Waterproof 3 room tents.
Waterproof 2 room tents,maybe.

Its not how many rooms....its if you got the oversized sleeping bag that sleeps 2.

I can relate with your psychosis ... I feel the same way about fish tacos. Those 2 words should not even be spoken together, much less eaten. *shudder*

 

Never tried a fish taco for that very reason. Somethings don't match.

Nothing as in what exactly.How does a human do nothing.
If they take a nap they are doing something.If they are watching
TV or schmoozing on the Net or social media they are doing something.
It is really not possible for a human being to do nothing.
Unlike a Woolly bear in fall as they go into hibernation.
I am working on my Thesis and watching each year to learn more
and more about this Hibernation scheme.I think it just what the
doctor ordered.Instead of a shot of liquor for Seniors to keep their
blood circulating I think a good hibernation would be more in order.
I mean,it beats doing nothing.

 

Whats that gotta do with anything.I remember well fishing a few
times off the big pier at our Lake Erie summer home.
And that a popular bait for catching carp was the most simplest.
a Marshmellow.Carp are bottom feeders and often heavy and scaley.
Definitely not any delicacy.Unlike Lake Erie perch which are also
scaley but absolutely delicious once scaled,and fried in a cast iron
skillet with butter.Sometimes lightly breaded.

These poor suckers have no idea.

 

However " those were the days " -- All in the Family --.
The good old days before Lake Erie became polluted.It took awhile.
But I remember when the fishing on Lake Erie was pretty consistent
and the perch were biting so steady even kids aged 10 or 11
could use a Tree branch rigged with line and a barbed hook could
come up with a stringer of perch.Then the Lake { on account entirely
of the Cuyahoga river out of downtown Cleveland } eventually effected
parts 40,50,60 miles away.The Cuyahoga river became famous for it's
pollution.A man once successfully walked across it { carefully hopping on
large debris floating }.And of course the river also caught fire once.
The other easy breezie fish were of course Lake Carp and Sheepshead.
Both unfit for the dinner table.Sheepshead are good fighters and good as
fertilizer after being shredded.
Lake Erie eventually got cleaned up { only took a couple decades }
c/o of a mandatory Federal Program { Clean Water Act of 1972 }
Which ushered in the Infamous EPA c/o of Richard Nixon.

 

A friend gave me some fish that he called chin ka pins. I looked at them a bit skeptical till my son assured me they were good. I cooked them and they were the best freshwater fish ever. I prefer saltwater fish but freshwater fish can be tasty. The best fish are mangrove snapper and yellowtail snapper.

I had to edit this because of PC. I am thinking really??? Geez will there be any words left that can be used without offending someone.

Well, pasta salad is good, but pasta is grain, is bread , 'is a fly is a rat is a pig is a dog is a boy'.... or something else that will make you fat.

 

Even better. You did not have to buy the place to live in it. Condos can be very hard to unload.
