Tapper: This is not a blue wave CNN's Jake Tapper says that after the defeat of Democratic congressional candidate Amy McGrath by Rep. Andy Barr (R-KY), it does not look like there will be a blue wave in the midterm elections. https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics...a-blue-wave-rep-andy-barr-amy-mcgrath-vpx.cnn As the results stream in, its looking better and better for Republicans. The trends from 2016 seem to be maintaining. A quick look over at democrat underground suggests they are realizing this.
There may not be a blue wave, but if the Democrats take the House, which is looking increasingly likely, they'll still celebrate, so you probably are not going to get to enjoy a nice cup of liberal tears this election.
This election is going the way I expected. Dems win the House. GOP keeps the Senate, probably gaining seats. Typical midterm election
Democrats taking the House is really bad news, I was hoping the House and Senate would actually increase for the Republicans so that the economy could keep moving forward. Now, we have nothing but endless investigations and idiots like Schiff and Pelosi on TV nonstop destroying the United States of America.
At this time, 79% House goes D. According to https://fivethirtyeight.com/live-blog/2018-election-results-coverage/
Im not conceding they have won the house. But think of the long game. More dem distractions (that lead nowhere) will turn off more people to dems. That helps set up 2020.
Been following the live coverage on CNN's site. The Democrats are crushing the House, but generally what I'm seeing matches my own prediction - we have blue and red waves, i.e. a lot of turnout on both sides, leading to a lot of close races. Texas is a very soft pink for Lyin' Ted right now with 78% reporting.
True. There aren't enough seats gained to be a blue wave. But gridlock will make wall street happy. LOL
