Well, this sure proves we suffer global warming. I can predict that were this an article showing a early heat spell, the alarmists would jump all over it to say to us .... "See there, this is proof man warms the earth." But early winters do not prove global warming. They prove that any global warming is not present. Perhaps a cooling cycle is underway. But this is not from some kook news operation, this comes from Reuters. Feel free to tell us why we need to blame man for the cold winter.

I guess you aren't familiar with the concept of "convection".

This is why they changed the name from global warming to climate change. The left is very good at playing word games.

Correct. I know. But what can we do when facts bump against their rhetoric?

Climate change cannot be refuted; Only the degree in which humans affect it can be argued. Since there is no shortage of experts on either side of the debate, I side with reducing pollution. While we are on the subject, I would also remove subsidies for corn growers.

Are you saying that disrupted convectional air currents due to increased energy input doesn't effect the weather?

Only somebody with NO understanding of the science would claim that early winter storms are evidence that global warming isn't happening.

But please share your science background with me. I operate under the principle that information is valuable.

So you aren't aware of the principles of convection. Okay.

Here's a simple explanation that should suffice. You'll notice its all about heat transfer and increased heat input into the system creates greater convection. Its really pretty basic stuff that apparently your education and research didn't cover.

lol...the reason it was changed was to help the scientifically inept to understand and as to that nothing has changed...the scientific illiterates still can't be motivated to learn they just go straight to denial mode...

Our winters are greatly affected by the jet stream and why the northeast usually gets the brunt of it in the same pattern of the Laurentide ice sheet during the last glaciation. It is not fully understood all the factors that change the jet stream from smooth to wandering but some science shows a correlation between solar activity and jet stream changes.

The US shows no statistical warning for the last 18 years. Cliff Mass who follows the west coast weather chides the alarmists claiming the fires and every weather event now is caused by climate change when the prediction is way off in the future based on the least likely RCP 8.5 scenario. He claims the west coast problems are a result of weather patterns, not climate change.

They aren't even the same thing… You lack knowledge and don't know what the basic words mean, and yet you have a strong opinion… You are funny.

that's really sad, you claim all that educational background but make no attempt to learn...either driven by ideology, trolling or you don't have the educational background you claim to have

What new has happened since Dec 28, 2018 that you think i do not know? I neither insulted you nor taunted you. I stuck to a normal form of conversation.

You should explain why climate has no connection to weather nor warming. That will fix us.

Ask a million people if they want more pollution and they say --- no. The rush to blame humans has baggage. Most do not think of it at all.

The baggage is if man can change climate, he controls it. It means all he has to do is make changes and bingo, the climate no longer warms, it cools. Given he made enough changes. I personally never believed in the man controls climate concept.

What you wrote doesn't make sense and has nothing to do with what I wrote. Maybe you should write something intelligible before you press "reply". Explain why climate has no connection to weather nor warming? What?

You still don't make sense. Climate change and global warming aren't the same thing and nothing you wrote has anything to do with that.
