When discussing immigration & separations, something that's often not brought up is the permanent separation a growing number of mothers are put through when their children are taken away from them, out of this world. Should it really be that surprising that, out of the large number illegally sneaking across the southern border, there happen to be a lot of criminals and bad hombres? The bad eggs in Mexican society that don't really have a place there. Plenty of fresh victims north of the border and windows that aren't protected with bars.
related thread: Rape Trees - women who cross the border pay a high price to get into U.S. President Trump said in his speech on Saturday that 1 out of 3 women illegally crossing the border suffer sexual assault on their journey.
Thoughts & prayers are good enough for Cons when Mothers lose their children to gun violence. So I offer my thoughts and prayers too and will say the issue at the border is now solved because I offered my thoughts and prayers.
So you're saying we need more gun control to try to minimize this violence that we've let in? In Southern California, parts of Arizona and Texas, most of the gun homicides are Latino gangs shooting at each other.
No. I'm saying thoughts and prayers are enough. If its enough for gun violence, its will be more than enough for violence by illegals.
Democrats will say anything to justify their human trafficking slave labor operation. Democrats care more about a foreign journalist killed in a foreign land by foreigners than they do an American hero killed by foreigners in America. DNC illegal immigration platform Sneak into America Get services like health care and welfare paid for by Americans Vote for anti American globalist Democrats who keep the border open Victimize Americans Get deported from America Repeat...
The Left's done nothing since the Compromise of 1985 to address this issue. And the Left's basically asking for a new 1985(They got one in early 2017, but Schumer/Pelosi turned it down.) What do we get for a new 1985?
Thoughts and prayers isn't going to do much with more and more MS-13 members. We need action. Not gestures.
I've been trying to save lives in southern California since Clinton was POTUS. I have seen dozens killed by illegals. And everyone ignores it. Im no angel mom, but I've earned some effing wings.
You don't say the same when Children are killed in schools by a dipshit with a gun. Your thoughts and prayers is all you are willing to offer for their grieving families.
Actually, I've offered Switzerland-like reforms for guns, in respecting the second amendment and the need for gun regulations(not control.) That said, until we do something about the mentally ill, even if we did restrict guns they'd find a way to kill at schools and other soft targets.
Plenty of locos coming from south of the border. How much more are we going to sell off American rights to accommodate those illegally coming in from other Third World countries?
The problem of illegal alien criminals entering the US at the southern border who injure and kill US citizens, the problem of illegal alien criminals entering the US at the southern border who injure and kill non US citizens, and the problem of illegal alien criminals injuring and killing non US citizens in Mexico traveling to the southern border to enter illegally can be solved by a border wall. No thoughts and prayers are necessary but appreciated.
Any statistics on how many of those crossed the border in places where Trump wants to put a wall? Any statistics on how many of them "snuck across the border" at all? Because there is a big difference between being in the country illegally and entering illegally. And there is also a difference between entering illegally and crossing in places that don't have a barrier (but where Trump wants to place a wall). Democrats are in favor of border security. There is 1.6 billion in their proposal for that. So don't paint this as "Rs want border security and Ds don't." It is more the case that Ds want to spend the money sensibly. Trump wants to build a less-effective wall.
There is a huge difference if this is being used as an argument in favor of a wall. Walls don't prevent people from overstaying. Walls don't prevent people from crossing illegally at border crossings (e.g. hiding in trucks, using fake ID).
Yeah --- like I said, it would be nice to have statistics on how many of these illegal alien killers crossed the border in places where Trump wants to build a wall. It makes a big difference if 100% of these people just walked around a fence, or if 100% of them are visa over-stays. If you want to use this as a reason for a wall, the onus is on you to show that a wall would have stopped them coming into the country in the first place.
If we enforce the law within our borders and build strong border security including a wall where needed the question is academic There will be very few illegals here to commit crimes
It isn't academic. It is essential to understand a problem in order to address it. If 100% of these killers are visa-overstays, it looks like money would be better spent on in-country enforcement rather than a wall. If 100% of these killers walked across the border 2 miles away from the nearest barrier, it looks pretty sensible to build a wall. If 100% of them were hidden in trucks crossing in Tijuana, money should be directed to increasing staff / technology at the border crossings. You can't fix a problem until you know what it is. You (and other wall supporters) want to build a wall without demonstrating that it is the most cost-effective way of dealing with the problems you want to address.
