And example of the bullshit is seen in the first page. It warns that most Americans don't know what socialism is, and then it goes on to lie about what socialism is. :

Socialism and communism are two VERY different systems, and Marx never equated the two or spoke of "pure socialism". So right there the whole article is made a bullshit farce.

 

And so far, all I see the opposition doing here is pushing the same "be afraid! be very afraid" crap.

Nobody is going to believe you if you can't even address the issue intelligently and maturely.

Real Americans are in no way going to allow the far right to control "our religious, economic, or personal rights" due to capitalism, which brought ups two Great depressions and one Great Recession. The small minority in the far right are not in charge.

Conservatives were warning that if Obama were to be elected he would nationalize the corporations and socialize the economy.

ACA did not destroy the economy. We still have a free market that did very well under Obama.

So is Obama a socialist?

Yup, all these strategies start with conflating democratic socialism with hard-line socialism and communism we see in the USSR and Venezuela.

 

I don't think you need to warn kids off socialism/communism. After all, both systems demand equal effort from all members - no free lunches (and that's a message all kids should take with them into adulthood). It's probably far more important to warn against bourgeois progressivism .. which depends upon the existence of 'overlords and serfs', in order to sustain the Opt Out (welfare) and the elitism of parasitical 'careers'.

We want our kids to be FIRST, responsible and stable and able to support themselves. That can come in any form ... communist or capitalist. But it is less likely to come in the form of a Progressive. They believe in and support the idea of billionaires and loafers. The most unfair system imaginable.

 

Hardline, as you call it, is the only kind which deserves the name Socialism. The cafe varietal is merely elitist capitalism paying lip service to 'fairness'. There is NOTHING fair about hard working people funding lazy people.

 

Capitalism has removed and reduced more poverty in the world since it replaced mercantilism as the economic standard than any other system by far. It’s not even close. Capitalism is by far the best economic system ever created by mankind.

 

Yeah it's typical that dictators take control and slay everyone before that happens.
