Ordinarily, an effort like the one shaping up to block Capt. Chaos' the weapons sale to SA would be ridiculed by The Following as being carried out by vindictive, angry Dems. But given this issue's bi-partisan history, with Duplicitous Don having already having declared a specious national emergency to override Congress once before, it's clear he is going it alone on this one. At least in terms of support from congressional Repubs.
In a broader sense, he never has to go it alone. The minions always have his back. Even when the Saudi's are helping to cause the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.........with Don's cooperation.
And then there's Prince Jared's friendly relationship with fellow prince MBS who had Khashoggi killed, numerous Saudi businessmen detained and tortured, but......and this is a big but........is helping Jared and his little bro with hundreds of millions in needed financing for their businesses. Not, I'm sure, that has anything to do with President Bonespur's refusal to condemn Jared's best bud (wink).

 

Just imagine if Senators cared more about their own people than a Saudi journalist....we may actually get something done about the border crisis.

 

Unfortunately, we end up allying with undesirable nations because of reasons that go beyond human rights. If we do not sell arms to Saudi Arabia, they will get them elsewhere. Most likely China or Russia. By using our arms, we exercise at least some control. If they start buying and using Chinese or Russian arms, we lose that advantage.

 

And this is the point that the left doesn't get.

There is no good situation over there but by being a player we can maybe prevent an even worse one.

We have a friendly relationship with SA and they have been open to us in the past and likely will be in the future and we aren't going to risk that over some dead journalist, there is a bigger game going on here that could affect countless millions more.

We are arming them up to be that buffer over there, friendly to us, in case someone worse comes along like Iran.

Its funny, Iran has been implicated in many killings, even took our own people hostage but the left love them because Obama loves them, SA does this once and all of a sudden the left want to cut off all relations, maybe even go to war with them over it.

Heck, they chant Death to America every morning in their prayers but yet the left still love them.

 

So we have one deflection and one very pathetic, morally bankrupt rationalization but no one willing to address the conflict of interest posed by the Kushner family's finances. Which doesn't even take in to account the fact that Jared's total lack of qualifications (other than being Queen Ivanka's hubby) makes him having the job in the admin he has an obscene joke.

No matter what we do, the Saudi journalist will still be dead. Do you think the Saudis are apt to be more humane under Chinese or Russian dominance? My guess is less likely which will result in more inhumane treatment.

The democrats are not as much interested in the Saudi journalist as they are in the issue.

1. Do you think the Saudis will now not buy airplanes?
2. If they buy airplanes, where will they get them?
3. If they get those airplanes from the Chinese or Russians, do you believe that will improve their human rights?

And please answer the questions. They are not difficult. Even you should be able to answer them.

Apparently, there is no end to the same depravity required to vote for someone like Don, preventing you from seeing that participating in the human catastrophe in Yemen (by profiting from the deaths of innocent civilians) is immoral.

What's this now - we should stop fighting on the same side as Al Qaeda and others of the same ilk (El Saud) ? What a profound revelation. Perhaps there is hope for our Red and Blue Establishment elite after all.

I would not hold my breath. The only reason this is happening is because this policy of arming and supporting radical Islamist extremist groups (including Al Qaeda and other members of the terrorist list) is becoming known to too many of the general public.

The questions are becoming too difficult but more importantly - these questions are actually getting asked - and that is a problem. We have even had coverage in the MSM - "God forbid the MSM starts doing its job and asking questions" - questions that should have been asked 8 years ago - and continuously since then.

The MSM is no longer holding up the Establishment on this one which tells you that the muzzle has come off for this particular issue.

Now the Political elite are backtracking with a fervor in an attempt cover their tracks and evil misdeeds of the past. As such - there will be many who will jump on this bandwagon as those who do not will suffer major condemnation in the future - and that writing is on the wall.
