no they are banning specific groups using their selectively enforced TOS
if the applied their TOS equally and fairly to everyone I wouldn't have a problem
but they don't a liberal can threaten violence and they let it slide but a conservative hurts someones feelings they get a ban

I guess they can go to the baker across the street.

Err I mean social media network.

What do you think should happen, maybe the government should step in and make them treat everyone equally? That’s not very free market of you. It’s almost... socialist...

    Sure there is:
    Facebook alternative launches for conservatives
    https://onenewsnow.com/business/2019/02/27/facebook-alternative-launches-for-conservatives

Oh, you mean their cakes services are not as good and it’s more expensive?!

Wish I could help, this is what y’all have demanded. I agree they should serve all equally for the record.

Does two separate gigantic echo chambers seem like something that would be conducive for the well being of America? Echo chambers full of yes men created lots of problems globally but it seems you are advocating for exactly that

Today? Absolutely! Pre-Civil Rights Act? Not so much. Social pressure against discriminatory businesses would've also worked, though likely not in the same time frame.

Then I'll rephrase my question: do you believe that Social media companies should be free to ban who they want without government pressuring them in any way?

Certain individuals/groups have been banned with no reason given with no rules cited that were broken. If certain rules were broken, then why aren't they capable of citing them to banned users?

Gotta love Project Veritas. They have exposed so much corruption from the left and continues to do so.

I'm pretty sure that you don't say the same thing about bakers. Am I right? I'll be highly surprised if I get a response!

He wasn't considered a conservative by most conservatives. Even Ben Shapiro didn't vote for him.

Yeah, but not because a specific political ideology makes someone smarter or dumber. It is down to the state that they are in,
which is where political ideologies and the quality of the education system varies between the states.

I am advocating a leveling out if you will, Republicans have decided to gerrymander on extreme margins and openly disenfranchise or steal elections. They are also the ones screaming discrimination is great. So, let’s watch what happens — thankfully I hold dual citizenship with a stable nation so I can jump ship when y’all start sinking. I’ve got my marshmallows out.

As long as those same groups are saying open discrimination is a great thing, sure — I see no reason not to hold them to the metrics as they have set.

Diversity of different values is tearing the country apart.

Rather than "strength" like we were promised.

What advise are you referring to? Also, why didn't you say whether I was correct when I said I don't think that you say the same thing about bakers?

    Question:

If I send 100 liberal opinion pieces to Breitbart or TheGatewayPundit, and they don't publish them, do they discriminate against me (or liberals in general)?

BTW: Censorship in the private market occurs all the time. It only becomes a real problem if the government engages in it, for example banning books or free speech. What is going on here with Pinterest is NOT censorship. They just don't publish objectionable stuff on their platform. They don't prevent that material from being published elsewhere. As far as I know, zerohedge is still on the web, so nobody is suppressing their free speech.

No, they wouldn't, they wouldn't prevent me from publishing anywhere else.

I work in science. I would like to publish my work in the Science journal, together with Nature the most prestigious journals in the science world. Does Science discriminate against me if they don't want to publish my work? No they don't. Neither do they discriminate against the 98% submissions they reject, because they are not deemed of high enough quality. You see, there is a difference between not publishing and silencing. Not publishing is not silencing anyone, Science definitely doesn't prevent anyone else to publish my work. Neither does Pinterest prevent anyone else from publishing Project Veritas' work.

What you want to do, on the other hand, is FORCE publishers to publish work you deem politically expedient AGAINST THEIR WILL.

Interesting, the video has been removed because Pinterest complained to google about it... Oh well. Yes, we see the "shaping" of the world according to stupid tech.
