Allies such as Turkey demonstrates why all weapon systems sold by have Kill Switch should the weapon system fall into rogue hands. Duh Uh Moi For Emperor Plenipotentiary "There's Pleni For All" Across an immense, unguarded, ethereal border, Canadians, cool and unsympathetic, regard our America with envious eyes and slowly and surely draw their plans against us.
Hmm ..... It mattered enough for you to make an entire incorrect post about why NATO was formed. Now it doesn't matter. Ok. I'll keep that in mind with your future posts.
You do not understand, the Warsaw Pact was a formality, just stating what was reality, already, since 1945. Nato was a need, considering what was coming, once the Eastern European countries would have recovered to a certain point. The difference between NATO and Warsaw Pact, anticipating what is coming and formalizing reality.
The Turks want to by the S400 so the US counters by threatning them? How to NOT win friends and influcence people. Putin is likely standing by to sell them some Russian fighters to go with their Russian AA missiles.
No! Just self promoting. AND advocating any military equipment sold to "others" have a "kill switch" in their circuitry. No Explosion Required. Just a computer / software meltdown. Moi For Emperor Plenipotentiary "There's Pleni For All"
One can't help but think that Turkey was cheering when they found out they would not be receiving F-35's .. aka - the flying lemon.
Ho ho ho .... What shall this hint to Germany here please? Is it again for this bullshit about 2% spend of GDP into defense? Have you noted that NATO agreemnt tells that it is duty from 2024 on and now? Is it about North Stream 2? Have you noted that the contract was done far before Ukraine issue and that Germany is a full sovereign state and do what it find best for theirself? And why shall we not trust Putin please? .... Because, why sdhall we trsut the maste rliar and Fale News champion Trump?
According to the link I provided back in 1952 Turkey believed it's goals were in line with NATO's which is why they joined NATO. Of course things have certainly changed since then.
Turkey has already bought 2 F-35s and 2 more are in the making. They probably won't see them now so I doubt they are cheering. Turkey is free to leave NATO and buy all the Russia military hardware they want. It seems they prefer to have it both ways.
Ask Dick Cheney and the Bush's ... True is that their dream popped away ... because they thought to get control after 30 years back! But this didn't happen at least in 2010 when they were finally really out!
Jeannette ... Nowhere does the price matter in weapon purchases ... whether it's the purchase of weapon systems planned from the beginning or whether it's offsetting property development. Purchase goes. Money and how expensive is there uninteresting .... And seriously ... The Panavia tornadoes of our "Luftwaffe" have to be replaced quite soon because outdated. Currently it looks very much after the purchase of the American F-18 Super Hornet, a little unlikely a not yet developed variant of the Eurofighter. I personally would like to see the Sukhoi SU-35S as a successor ... why not? I plead anyway for an end to the sanction nonsense ... and for a friendly approach to Russia! Donmald Trump has more than made clear to us with his politics, his actions and his statements that the US is no longer the good old friend you can trust fully. If your old friend and ally treat you more and more like an enemy, expecting you to submit to his will ... then it's time to make new friends! Although Putin is not a real democrat and in a sense a bastard ... but a bastard who stands by his word and above all, you know it and it's negotiable!
That's what I think. They're trying to rebuild their empire so they wanted to buy Patriots as protection from Russia, their traditional enemy, as well as the S-400 as protection from the West. For all their feigned agreements in Syria, the Turks hate Moscow for hindering their ambitions in Syria. Putin keeps Erdogan on a tight lease - but how long can he be controlled? As for Washington, Erdogan feels betrayed that Gulen isn't being handed to him and that we are arming the Kurds who are a threat to Turkey's integrity. Erdogan's megalomania is making him delusional so he now believes that the mention of Constantinople by the killer in New Zealand and by Netanyahu's son, means the West has designs on Turkey - or at least this is what he's conveying to his people. So to protect itself Turkey must become the aggressor. As for the F-35, much of it is being made in Turkey, so I guess that's the end of that.
Turkey had a defense contract to in supplying for the plane so they were committed to buy the planes as this is part of receiving that contract. Sure a nation can back out of that commitment but this comes at a cost. Most of the nations buying the F-35 are doing so to keep in the good graces of the US - not because it is a good plane. The F-35 is a national embarrassment and the flaws in this plane will have ramifications going forward.
I posted a link showing Turkey wants the secret ingredients to build the Patriot Defense System which Lockheed-Martin rightfully denied which is why Turkey is going with the S-400 thinking Russia will give them their secret ingredient. Russia is not going to provide all the ingredients Turkey wants to start building their own defense systems to sell in the region. Turkey wants to become a major arms dealer in the region.
Or maybe even though the US took control of Iraq the US never intended to steal Iraq's oil? Maybe the US just wanted to put the Iraq oil back on the worldwide market? But I'm sure you don't want that to be true!
