Nancy Pelosi: House Democrats to pass part of Trump's emergency border funding

House Democrats blinked Sunday, with Speaker Nancy Pelosi announcing they will vote this week to grant at least part of President Trump’s emergency border funding to deal with the humanitarian crisis.

Mrs. Pelosi, in announcing the looming vote, did swipe at Mr. Trump, saying he’s made the border situation worse.

But she said her chamber will approve legislation to provide assistance for children who are crowded at border facilities because there’s no space left to hold them anywhere else, and for families who are also coming in at rates too fast for the Border Patrol to even process them.

Looks like top democrat Pelosi is changing her tune.

It was just a few months ago that she was calling the border crisis a "manufactured crisis".

But here we are.

 

Don't we have about 800 places to ouse as concentration camps? They were in the news a few years ago.

A national poll with 158 respondents.

There was one January poll, by Marist/NPR/PBS, that showed that his approval rating with Latinos had indeed increased to 50 percent. Trump immediately began touting this poll upon its release, and it might have been what he was referring to in the Telemundo interview five months later.
But polls conducted after January, including polls from the same pollster, has not shown an approval rating even close to 50 percent.
In the Marist/NPR/PBS poll in June, Trump's approval among Latinos was just 24 percent. In a June Politico/Morning Consult poll, he had a 26 percent approval rating among Hispanics. An April poll by Latino Decisions for the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO), which surveyed 606 registered Latino voters, found that Trump had a 25 percent favorability rating.
Matt Barreto, co-founder of Latino Decisions and a political science professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, said the recent data suggests "Trump has NOT made any inroads with Latinos."

Actually republicans started this mess. They had complete control of the legislature and the executive for the past 2 years and did exactly nothing about it.

 

They did shut down the government more times during that period than most other presidents see in eight years because they refuse to send something to trump that he might have to veto. And they cut billionaires taxes. And trump golfed a lot... so they were working hard gambit

With that said congress controls the purse strings needed to help run these detention centers
