Absolutely correct! As proof of what you've written, anyone can compare and contrast pricing on the many products advertised FREQUENTLY in the sales circulars sent out all the time by companies like 'Harbor Freight', which is a clearing house for thousands of many different kinds of products, but mostly tools for 'home use' -- and nearly every one of them in manufactured in CHINA.

I have not seen any price fluctuations in Harbor Freight's prices at all, and their practice of regular 20% discounts with constantly-supplied coupons goes on unabated. And that's just one example.

Recently, I bought a 39" Smart TV for use in a small den in my house, at Best Buy -- with 1080p resolution, lots of connectivity, etc., and paid $149 -- brand new! It was made in China, like nearly everything else they sell, too. So, where's all the gigantic price increases that the Trump-bashers predicted?

 

You didn't notice the change because Trump hasn't put tariffs on Chinese TV's yet. They are in the last batch of $300 billion of products he really doesn't want to put tariffs on because people will notice.

Your spin on the tariffs tells us one thing: PRICES HAVE NOT SKYROCKETED BECAUSE OF THEM!

The biggest price increase I've seen on anything in the past couple of months has been on AVOCADOS, nearly all of which come from Mexico. And yet, guess what, Trump and the Mexicans averted a big tariff 'crisis' standoff between the U.S. and Mexico!

Gee -- do you think that maybe huge grocery corporations might be 'working the crowd' to rake in extra profits because of what the 'little' people THINK they know about things like 'tariffs'...? But you haven't heard people screaming about price increases at Walmart, or at a place like Harbor Freight. I notice you avoided any reference to those places, where nearly everything comes from China, and places like those do a LOT of business in this country!

We've had 40 years of workers getting screwed. It happened under Presidents of both political parties, Congresses controlled by both parties, and during periods where one party or other controlled both Congress and the White House.
