I finally experienced white privelege

Ladies, gentlemen and gender Xs, I experienced white privilege the other day.
On the way out of Walmart on sunday, the door man/receipt checker did NOT check my reciept. I tried to show him and he just gave me a nod as if to say "no worries whitey, your good to go"
I'm ashamed and wanted to apologize for being born white.
I am truly sorry.

 

I am still waiting on my "whiteness" check to be deposited into my account, but after 30+ years, its a bit in the rears.

 

I love flaunting my whiteness. I often tell people in public I'm white and happy to be white.

 

Well, in all honesty, do you think that was because you were white? Or because you obviously were not a shoplifter and were offering your receipt? Can you say with absolute certainty that he would not have treated an honest looking black person or Hispanic the same way?

I don't think our Walmarts here check receipts of anybody while Cosco checks every item on every receipt of everybody. So who knows?

 

So I'm not the only one to notice this!

Yeah I'm privileged, they wave me by while the pore over the receipt of some poor woman of color. The only time I'm checked I assume I have a tan.

One thing else I've noticed at Wal-Mart, the ENTER and EXIT doors are used by privileged whites only. POC and genderfluids are forced to enter through the exit doors...humiliating!

 

Walmart checks people receipts? That's news to me. I've never witnessed anyone getting their receipt checked at any of the Walmart's I've ever been to.

You're on camera at Walmart and they do use those little walky's or whatever they are called cinched in their rear waistband. If you're a regular they already know ya and who's trouble.

When people they haven't seen before walk in they're gonna profile them and watch them.

Just don't steal like them low-life thieves and you be okay.

 

Hmmm. We were told at Costco that the reason they check receipts and cart contents is to make sure you got all the discounts you are entitled to. If that is to believed, perhaps they looked at you and decided you could afford to pay full price.

 

I can't tell if this is being ironic or not.

 

They started it here when everything went 95% self check.

 

Got self check here too. No one checks receipts.

I get "white privilege" every time I go to Mexico. it usually cost me a few pesos more than the regular price.

 

Dunno...maybe same reason Target, Lowe’s, Home Depot, and various supermarkets don’t.

 

Obviously, one of the privileges of being white is having the luxury to make fun of racism and think it's all a big joke.

What's funnier, though, is when these same people cry about how they are the true victims of racism.

You should be ashamed and to atone for your sins of whiteness. You must find a black person and write them a check for $1000.00

You libs and progs have turned it into a big joke by accusing every critic of Obama of it, but applying it to anyone and anything you disagree with by resorting to it in every dispute, argument, disagreement, by weaponizing it for political gains and using it to shut down any related or unrelated debate. You libs are the boy who cried wolf so many times and for so long that the concept is utterly diluted.

That being said, rest assured we are not making fun of racism, we are making fun of liberal idiots who like trained monkey scream racism every time they lose an argument.

 

I lost white privilege when I dated a black woman. With only one exception, when we went out for a nice dinner, we were obviously not welcome. One place sat us alone, outside, in 45 degree weather. I finally formally complained as I saw other people coming after us being seated inside. Another put is over in the corner at a counter, instead of a table like everyone else got. Other places waited on us last; only when no one else was left. And this was just to get dinner, The only nice restaurant that treated us like I am ALWAYS treated otherwise, had a black hostess.

 

I’ve missed out on huge maintenance contracts because we are not minority or female owned. Usually, after a couple of years, we get the contract anyway because our service is better and most companies have millions riding on the reliability of their critical power.

We’ve recently been sold and I no longer know who the owner is and definitely not on a first name basis. I’d guess that 70% of our technicians are former military, maybe 80%. Training and ability to pass background checks are everything in field service. We can’t afford to discriminate against talent, as it should be.
