Saying you stand ready to respond when armed brigands are sent to your door to take your property and kill you if you resist is not a threat of violence in the way you're using the term. Saying "I would defend myself and my homestead" is not a threat of violence against someone ffs. Saying "I'll send armed men to your house to take your property and kill you if you resist" IS.
