is to buy ads in early primary states in order to block Bernie Sanders.

I live in South Carolina, one of the earliest primary states, and Bloomberg and Steyer are on TV on every channel on every commercial break.

The Democrats don't want Sanders to win the nomination, so they let these billionaire 'liberals' pay for non-stop advertisement, resulting in the illusion of a competition. The reality is the Dems will do whatever it takes to keep Sanders out, including sacrificing their own principles and manipulating the vote.

The problem they have created for themselves by trying to take Trump down, is that they also took down their chosen one, Joe Biden.

Maybe Hillary Clinton or John Kerry, both previous losers, will come in and save the day. Or better yet, maybe Mitt Romney will run as the Democrat he really is.

    That seems likely.

All just about shouting down Sanders.

The Democrats are in so much trouble and the best thing about that is every Democrat I see thinks the Democrat party is stronger than ever.

I am in S.C. also. They are bombarding us for naught. This is a heavy red state.

And Steyer says he can beat Trump on the economy? Seriously? No, seriously???

The field as it sits now, and I don't see it changing, is Trump vs Sanders. Sanders is the only one with a shot at winning, and the establishment left, as much as it hates Trump, seems to fear Sanders more, and will effectively ensure a Trump win to keep Sanders out.

I think this is most likely because they would never be able to get away with obstructing President Sanders with the blatant hate propaganda and lies they get away with using to push obstruction of Trump. Sanders' army of emotionally fragile SJWs would burn them down overnight (perhaps even literally) if they tried that **** against Sanders, and Sanders' fleecing of the rich (read: the establishment) would have no mainstream rhetorical opposition. Or perhaps because they know that Americans' response to the communist revolution Sanders' folks want would result in the tragically violent but ultimately permanent death of progressivism forever. Not sure which is driving them at this point, maybe both.

I would like to see Mitt run again, as a democrat, so Trump could wipe the floor with him again.

I disagree both would like to be president. They both think they can do a helluva lot better job than the orange orangutan.

narcissism - self-centeredness arising from failure to distinguish the self from external objects, either in very young babies or as a feature of mental disorder.

    They ALL suffer from it

The democrats destroyed Joe Biden, it was a massive unforced error as a result of this hoax impeachment. LOL

I don't see Bernie not claiming democratic nomination, the other candidates are a JOKE... Warren is a phony, Buttigieg is a kid who isn't sure of what positions he should espouse and a gay man cannot win in U.S. at this moment (i don't have an issue with gays, just don't think the country is ready). Tom Steyer and Bloomberg think they can pull off a Trump but they lack the charisma and pizazz of Trump... they are nothing like Trump. They are a joke...

I think there probably are forces at work in the DNC who want to keep Bernie from winning the nomination.

But if he wins the nomination, he could do just as well against Trump as anyone else. Sanders = Not Trump, and most Dems would vote for Sanders (or a ham sandwich) over Trump.

Any Dems here disagree with that?

Yeah, well. CA primary was moved to March 3. Sounds like a bump for the Bern to me.

Nice to know a fellow PF'er is here in the Palmetto state, although I just moved here recently from the Volunteer state. My wife really likes it here, so I guess it's a go.

Very interesting analysis. The left will eventually have to accept the Bern, but they will, in the end, watch as he falls to the Trumpster. And they will be glad.

I am staying in Aiken right now, but about to take a job in Columbia. Myrtle Beach is sweet. We will be coming there a lot. No doubt.

Biden personally is ****ed I agree, he will get absolutely shredded in debates, but his style of politics is more appealing to independents and the average Democrat than demsoc.

Bloomberg and Steyer are serious contenders. Steyer has pockets as deep as Trump but Bloomberg makes them both look like welfare cheats. Both are NEVER Trumper's. Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Michael Bloomberg and most of the Bay Area CEO's will dump unheard of amounts of cash to defeat trump. And the dough will go up and down the ballot.

Klobuchar and Buttigieg are big unknowns. They are both from the midwest. They are both candidates to watch. Biden looks to be in trouble as do Warren and the Also Rans.

Steyer says he is going to beat Trump on the economy. Seriously? Do you think he has any chance at less than 1% in Iowa?

Bernie's supporters are violent. There are many reports of Sanders' followers harassing opponents at their jobs, etc. If the Dems deny Bernie this year, things could get really ugly.

The Dems are in a pickle. If they nominate Bernie, they lose to Trump. If they run someone else, Bernie's supports stay home and Trump wins.
