Not really, unless you're thinking of the Barbary pirates that we fought on the shores of Tripoli in the early 19th century. Nikola Tesla, the genius who gave the world everything that we have today including remote control, said he wanted to give the world free energy to stop wars - and that was in the late 19th century.

JP Morgan destroyed Tesla for that very reason, so oil and profit has been the culprit for a long, long time.

I know that it was JP Morgan that destroyed him, and it's probably why Edison and Marconi are mentioned in school books, when the patents were all Nikola Tesla's. Supposedly it had to do with Nikola Tesla wanting to give the world free electricity, and when Morgan whose money was being used found out there would be no meter, he freaked. Or maybe he freaked because Tesla wouldn't marry his daughter. Who knows?

Anyway Morgan spread the rumor that Tesla was crazy, maybe because he said that with the gadget he had, he could split the world in half. I read that when the big earthquake occurred in Chili the scientists realized that Tesla was right, and that it could be split. This is why there are all the conspiracy theories about Harp, and that the government stole his papers when he died.

What I do know for certain is that Tesla didn't care for money, other than to use it to continue his projects. When Westinghouse had financial difficulties they asked Tesla to help them out, and he took his contract with them and ripped it up. Needless to say he lived all alone for about 20 years in a hotel room, penniless probably.

He said some very interesting things like Einstein's theory of relativity was wrong, and that the moon does not spin on its axis, it spins on the earth's axis.

It was not stated that conflicts would end.
When the U.S. was in conflict with people who were followers of Mohammed, it was not obsessed with the Middle East. Still, world peace would be enormously enhanced when we can get all the energy we need right where we live.

 

Check on the internet. There's a lot on him - especially quotes. My information came from different sources, so I don't know how accurate it is - especially the one about Morgan's daughter wanting to marry him. Personally, I believe it.

This is funny! Vladimir Putin utterly humiliated Erdogan when he was in Moscow, but it serves him right. When Erdogan went to Greece he spoke and acted as if he was their Sultan speaking to their inferiors.

Protocol calls for a visiting head of state to be greeted by the President on his arrival, but Putin kept Erdogan and his entourage waiting, until he got the message and sat down. He also had photos off Catherine the Great who fought the Turks and freed Crimea, and images of various battles fought between the Russians and Turks - all of which Russia won.

 

This video of a humbled and humiliated Erdogan will be the end of him in Turkey. Mark my words, I know the Turkish mentality.
