Some suggestions if there is anyone who thinks the Confederates should remain in the Capitol

General Erwin Rommel

General Albert Kesselring

Field Marshall Herman Goering

General Georgi Zhukov ( he wasn't fighting for White Supremacy or a traitor but he was advocating the second most evil and brutal ideology in human history, that should count for something, and at least he was on our side)

Excepting Zhukov all of these men were fighting against the USA and for White Supremacy, like the Confederates. They weren't also traitors to their country as well, but nobody's perfect.

 

Really need to get rid of ALL references to Robert E. Byrd, statues, plaques etc, while they're at it. Then they might want to look into the Clinton's and Biden.

 

Rommel has at least two memorials, one in Germany and one in Egypt. Zhukov has several statutes and monuments in Russia.

I'm not sure of your point. Although I don't think there are any Goering statutes, why would other countries knock these down? Do you expect Mongolia to knock down their Genghis Khan statue too?

 

Zhukov may have fought against Germany but he was no ally of ours. Russians are not friends or allies.

I do not see Communism or Russian-Sovietism as being less evil or less brutal than Hitlerism. Hitlerism and Sovietism are just about equal in brutality. Nazis sent both of my parents to forced labor camps and Russian Communist-Soviets sent both of grandfathers to Gulags in Siberia. So both Germans and Russians behaved like Turd eating scum.

 

Rommel redeemed himself by being part of the plot to erase Hitler. The rest are basic Hitlerite scum turds.

 

My own basic feelings have always been that any German Army Officer who was around for Kristallnacht and didn't just take his pistol and shoot Uncle Adolf right in the mustache next day should have been directly next to Goering at Nuremberg. Maybe not with the same charges but none of them should have got away unscathed. Then again any German at all who could put up with having to say "Heil Hitler" when you answered the telephone and was then surprised to be eating his cat in 1945 was not quite a paragon of political perspicacity IMO. Thank god WE'LL never elect a psychopathic narcissist with a God complex.

 

Well On the plus side Rommel was part of the plot to assassinate Hitler.

I have mentioned before that both of my parents survived forced labor camps curesty of their German "rescuers ". I view the pro Trump Congress members and Trump appointed officials who fail not only to criticize our self appointed "God" as you pointed out the Germans did but they will not even answer reporters questions. They walk away looking down at their shoes as if they are looking for their lost balls which could maybe propel them to "man" up.

Will history show that Trump supporters had the blood of our dead Constitution on their hands as POTUS T strangles our democracy to death?

 

Can't stop at Confederates or statues.

It's ALL got to go.

Every book, every painting, every piece of sculpture, every mobile.

Every song, every poem, every play, every film.

It all must be destroyed.

People are animals, and we're imperfect.

To celebrate that animal imperfection in any way or time?

Unacceptable.

It ALL must be purged.

Point is still valid.

No nation I know us celebrates those that fought against that country.

No nation celebrates coup plotters and those that fought civil wars against their own country

We named military bases after Confederate Generals during the Jim Crow years as a message enforcing Jim Crow....

It is right and proper to erase that mistake.

You want to study the Civil War? Read books and go to museums. We do not want to erase history...nor should we celebrate those that attacked our nation

No one is saying that everything the South ever did should be forgotten or ignored.

That doesn't change the fact that the Civil War they engaged in is not something that should be celebrated.
