2020 Presidntual debates: Predictions

Much has been said about the possibility of Biden ducking one or more of these debates with the excuse that he, or one of his staff, tested positive for CV19 and he must quarantine.

How probable do you think thisis?
If it happens, do you think the claim of CV19 expose has any merit?
If you, a Democrat, find out the excuse was a lie, what effect will this have on your vote?

 

They've been shutting down Biden's campaign events by morning for the past couple of days, so it's possible they are trying to switch him to a different sleep schedule so the debate will be, for him, the middle of the day, rather than the evening. My speculation, based on the previous debates, is that Biden will have a good first 45 minutes or so then gradually move into crazy town.

 

I think Harris will totally destroy Pence.

 

Biden can't back out now. Too many people have predicted he would use the china virus as an excuse to back out, so even if he does catch it, it will look bad for him.

 

I have no doubt that pretending he's come down with COVID-19 is on the table but I also figure that it depends upon Biden and how well he is reacting to his medicine just prior to the debate. Is he able to parrot back the answers that someone is feeding into his concealed pick-up mic from back stage with any semblance of conviction or does he once again evince his increasingly common 'dear in the headlights' expression? I'd hate to be political expert having to make that judgement call while Trump is ready to rumble.

 

Trump will pull out of all of the debates unless Biden agrees to a drug test.

 

I think all the debates will take place. The media will claim Biden won all three and Harris won over Pence. But Trump is a great debater, fast on his feet, a head full on information, good memory, and cool as a cucumber. He will probably win the debates.
Harris is nothing but an echo chamber for the dem talking points. A lightweight when it comes to her own convictions. I'll be surprised if she answers half the questions, preferring to go off on a fantasy goal. Pence will be full of facts and information and look like a real professional. Harris is out of her league and it will show when Pence wins.

 

You think she'll,get all loud and smack talk him like she did Biden?
You think the Springer audience is a reflection of the electorate?

 

Trump will claim the debates are rigged and full of fraud and won't participate

Hey what happened to presidential candidate Kanye West? He didn't make it to the debates? Wasn't he supposed to be the big upset who would be siphoning off votes from Biden? lol

 

This will be the case, no matter what.
Biden could literally die on stage and the MSM will call him the winner.

 

Chris Wallace will contradict Trump at every turn, as if he's Biden's surrogate, doing the debate for him.

He'll do one debate and spin some spectacular feat of fiction why #2 and #3 are no longer feasible, we must let one debate each suffice for Prez and VP.

Kanye got his time in the spotlight, probably achieved his master plan. But the media has decided he was not legit. Yep, they are also capable of discriminating. We should keep an eye on Wallace to be sure he is fair to both candidates.

 

Harris couldn't destroy a pair of nylons. There's a reason she was done before the campaign even got started.

 

Well in 2016 they were. Hillary was getting the debate questions supplied to her.

 

People on the right will declare an overwhelming Trump victory.
People on the left will declare an overwhelming Biden victory.
Life will go on much like before.

 

That sounds about right. Can you name just one journalist/analyst who you would recommend to give an honest evaluation of the debate? I would say Brit Hume of Fox News. He seems to take a humorist, yet honest, approach to politics.
Of course if Trump looks at his watch, or has one hair out of place, the left will go on about it for a week. They are poised for attack.

 

Predictions? Oh gee, let me guess...those those voting for Trump will say he won. Those voting for Biden will say he won. Nothing new here.

 

Don't use the nylons bit. Damn things run if I even.... Oh. Never mind.

 

Nope. Assuming Biden doesn't lose it with another 400-word treatise on dog-faced pony soldiers. Then Trump's got victory in the bag.
