Unlike you I listen to real news and read the actual quotes rather than the misquoted and look at things in their full context rather than the garbage from mediamatters which wouldn't give you an accurate quote if their lives depended on ut.

I post here mostly during lunch break and after I'm home. If you've noticed, yesterday I didn't post at all during working hours. Several times during breaks I said to posters "sorry, end of break, have to go, now." On the other hand, what exactly do you suppose I do during the rest of my time? We aren't going anywhere, my wife and I, due to the pandemic. We've been staying home for hours and hours, no more friends over, etc. There are just so many Netflix series one can watch... so, yes, my online presence has increased. Now you can think whatever you want, but do know that doctors are also human beings who have hobbies and try to decompress after a hard day at work.

What actual proof do you have that what you listen to is 'real news'? You do realize many of Trump's quotes come directly from his own tweets. How is reporting his actual tweets misquoting him?

Yes, I'm actively practicing, but there are a couple of caveats. One, I have been doing it for 40 years and my job description includes not only some direct medical care (which I like to do because it keeps me sharp and is my passion) but also teaching and research.

As a senior MD/PhD with administrative and research responsibilities, a lot of what I do is done through supervisees, residents/fellows, and research assistants. Also, the way my hospital is structured, at 5 PM on-call kicks in, with people on call from 5 to 8 taking over, to beef up the man power during shift changes and relaying of cases, and then another group takes call from 8 PM to 8 AM. In my senior position I do not need to take calls at all. Not the 5 to 8 slot and not the 8PM to 8AM; unless I want to (sometimes I tip in, if I feel like it and there is a shortage, but in my job description, it's not mandatory). So it's perfectly fine to go home at 5PM if I want to. VPN access from home (encrypted) also allows me to continue to be available to supervisees from home, if needed, with full access to the electronic medical records and to video calls to further supervise the residents, if needed.

Even administrative meetings with other senior staff to look into some problem can be done from home, via WebEx and Google Meet. So, yes, I find that these days I have sufficient free time to have a hobby and to post in-between things.

A lot of my posting, though, is the continuation of the mission, since up to the election and its aftermath heating up, almost exclusively my posting was on Covid-19's treatment, epidemiology, and prevention (including masks, vaccines, etc.). I think that bringing down certain kinds of misinformation to the benefit of the public, while having a hobby, is a nice compromise (see my signature).

I have seen no independent data or study that backs up this assertion, especially when it comes to volunteering one's time. And yes, religious organizations are responsible for a lot of public charity, and private as well. The secular humanists just don't seem to have the same pull/reach.

What his critics said was that Trump did not do enough in that he said Chinese need to be restricted but not Americans and their families who returned from China. He only restricted Chinese citizens but he forgot to tell the virus not to attach itself to non Chinese citizens. That was just one of his fails of late winter last.

    Show me such instances
Depends on the story. If I read a story that has actual facts and not just hearsay then I would tend to believe it. But if a story relies too heavily on unnamed sources then I'll be skeptical and try to find other articles that might have named sources. Whether it's Newsmax or CNN or FOX or AP, etc.

Trimp's promise of returning coal jobs is just ad false as his promise to return manufacturing, make Mexico pay for his wall, and make the Chinese buy more of our farm products. He got some weak bumble mumble from Xi that China will buy more US farm products in the future.
But back to the future is still only a fantasy movie a fantasy like Trimp's promises.

I am not involved in your — definitely “little” — arguments, just notating the fictitious nature of your prior claims.

Have you not been paying attention. Conservatives know everything and are extremely honest. We liberals can only dream of having the wisdom and integrity of the Right. After all, that is why it is called the the Right, because they are always right.

Whose talking about Twitter? I don't do Twitter either. Lie number one that trump did nothing about covid I've already given you the list. Lie number two that he said covid was a hoax. He didn't.

You're wayyyyyy out in right field. Biden planted his butt in the political center, including with his Monday speech, and you'll have to move toward the center or he's going to eat your lunch.

First, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren lost to Joe, then your boy Trump went down for the count. Republicans who rail against Sanders, BLM, Antifa, "the left," socialists, communists, etc. will look dumb when Biden is the guy who speaks for Democrats.

Instead of carrying on about "hate speech," Hunter Biden, stolen elections that weren't stolen, you might try pivoting to talking about issues. What should we do about helping folks through the pandemic, the 11m illegals, DACA, healthcare, worker training, infrastructure spending, climate change, and so on? Republicans need to swear off making wild statements.

You guys are so radicalized I doubt you could each sit down and write down what you believe and be in agreement. Sure, you want gun rights, but would you let everyone have an M4? What about healthcare and preexisting conditions? What do we do about worker retraining? DACA? Abortion rights? Instead of having worked out positions, you guys rail about stolen election nonsense, "leftists," BLM, and on snd on.

Economic growth in Trump's first three years is almost identical to Obama's last three. How come the Orange Oaf couldn't best Obama?
