Then again maybe it's God trying to kill Covid by freezing the contagion factor.

Since the Catholic church has told Biden to stop calling himself a Catholic, then we're probably being punished for electing a racist woman abusing pedophile.

Texas has moved up to 25% "renewable" which means 25% "inconsistent and not reliable" and now pay the price.

We're down to 21F tonight and my heat pump also has auxiliary electric coil heating. And we do NOT use wind or solar here but coal and natural gas so I don't expect any rolling power outages. I wouldn't call this historic I have been in Texas when it has been single digits and ice everywhere, those cowboys STILL think 4 wheel drives means you can drive over ice go figger..............

Ahhh no, they are having to do rolling black outs there is no huge backup just sitting there waiting for these 20 year events. TX has been moving more and more to "renewable" which is not "reliable" and now with 25% of there power coming from this type of power generation they cannot supply the needed power. Were it coal or natural gas or nuclear they could.

So you're saying it has only been changing recently and only because of human activity?

The Catholic church has not told Biden to stop calling himself Catholic. He is in fact the first president in decades who actually practices his religion.

Nor should Texas ever be prepared. It would be a colossal waste of money to spend the money preparing year after year for something that happens every few decades. How about Texas buy and maintain snow plows so they can be used every 20 years?....no.

Stuff like this happens, but it's texas, it won't last but a few days. This isn't a big deal at all.

We are going to see a jump in oil and gasoline and natural gas prices as the big Texas refineries have all shut down and the Saudis have severely cut back on production.

If the Weather people are correct this cold trend may carry on into early March.

I imagine you'll pick nits and say the archbishop doesn't represent the church.

Archbishop: Joe Biden “Should Stop Defining Himself as a Devout Catholic” Because He’s Pro-Abortion

Lets see. talked me bro in Germany last week, when they had that serious blizzard hit them. I am CO, but that was rather good, even for my standard at 7500 feet.
No power outages and so on in the country business as usual.
Texas get hit by, what, 6 inches and falls apart.
    Honestly ?
6 inches, even your wife would laugh about it..
Had 2 feet over night on Sunday/Monday am on solar, no problemo, wood ann solar, 80F no power outages in the house and 0 F outside

California has water shortages, power outages that last for days due to fires, and even rolling blackouts every summer because they think the heat they had for the last hundred years won't happen this year.

I sell thousands of panels a year, please tell me where you get the ones covered in snow that work. For that matter help find some that perform well with the short daylight hours in the winter.

While I lived in Europe the power never went out yet here in Pa. we lose power at least 4 times just about every year. Why don't they cut down all the tall trees near power lines and FORBID planting any new ones. Something they should have done when electricity first became widespread well over 100 years ago, I guess it makes too much sense

Climate change is a shift in weather patterns normally seen in history. Temperature a very small portion of it.

Yes, the earth has weather cycles, but to make the claim that man has no effect on these changes is tantamount to burring your head in the sand
