World’s ‘solar and wind capital’ freezing due to snow ‘blanketing millions’ of solar panels

Solar panels covered in snow and wind turbines sitting useless, who didn't see this coming? Trump did. The same thing is happening right now in Texas, thousands of wind turbines are frozen in place and aren't spinning.

Folks, putting too many eggs in one basket without a backup plan is not a good thing. When people rush to do anything, especially when it's tied to emotions (and making money), they often don't think about what could go wrong and this winter things are going wrong.

(I've been doing a lot of talking with my ex lately and she's told me things that might shock a person or two and it's about how the global warming hysteria is largely a scam. When I get time to type the whole thing out I will. Remember, she's an environmental nut job of the worst kind and even she sees nothing but profiteering in global warming.)

 

Oh that’s such a shame. I feel so sorry for them. I’m sure their power packs would have stored enough power to get them through it, right?

 

Gov Abbott mentioned yesterday in his emergency news conference here in TX that our wind farms (TX has 10s of thousands of wind turbines) had to shut down to save them from the ice. Hard to know how much damage there might be. This storm was historic, so.... not likely? hard to say. Where I live, we've set record after record of new cold records Longest cold here ever, coldest temps for each day, coldest high temp ever, etc. Oh, and of course, solar panels don't work when they are covered with 6-8"s of snow. Lots of folks having issues around here. Tonight is supposed to be the coldest night yet. Folks with heat pumps just figured out why they suck....

 

Well that will all change soon as the global warming takes over!! We set a new record for February -9 degrees yesterday, so out here we PRAY, literally PRAY for global warming!!!!!!!!

Wind and Solar are not reliable base load energy sources. Natural Gas, Nuclear, and Coal are reliable base load energy sources.

I wish the dummies pushing for "Green Energy" would realize these facts.

 

Climate Change has always been real. We have 30,000 year cycles. What is in dispute is the impact of man and the ability to do anything about it.

No/ What I'm saying is winters are real, snow is real, cold weather is real, it happens every year. The people who profit off of global warming have brainwashed so many people that it's incredible. Every time it's hot or cold the left is going to cry global warming and the cash registers will start cha-chinging.

 

I really don't think there are very many people who say climate change doesn't exist. It's the idea that man caused it, and by golly, taxing people will fix it.

As another poster noted, the earth has had, and will continue to have cycles. A question that has yet to be answered, is what temperature is the earth supposed to be? How do you know that we aren't below the true temperature? Or already above it?

So soon as one of those climate specialists can explain the variations we/earth might experience on our 230 million years orbits around the Milky Way then as far as I'm concerned they are simply tea leaf readers

These are hydrogen mapping of our galaxy.. So what happens as we orbit and our sun passes through larger concentrations of hydrogen, I think we all know the answer to that

 

Climate change cannot be refuted; only the degree in which humans are a factor can be argued. Even if we can't agree on that, I don't think anyone can honestly say that particulates from burning fuel are safe to breathe or do not contaminate water/soil. When politicians announce their concern for the planet, it means that they want money and power.

Solar panels don't work during a snow storm. Shocking. Bet they don't work very well during or after a hurricane or various other inclement weather. But the good news is all of the people without electricity or heat may think twice before voting for a liberal.

Ok folks, this comes from my ex and is only partially what she had to say, there's much more to come and she gave me examples.

How is it that an administration (Biden) bent on eliminating fossil fuels would pave the way for his own son to profit from oil? Why is Biden trying to kill a pipeline in America while promoting the Taliban pipeline? Regarding the XL pipeline, the oil has to get from Point A to Point B and a pipeline is the least polluting way to do it. Now trucks and trains will carry the load.

Regarding solar and wind power, China has much of the manufacturing market wrapped up and is growing.

She said they used to roll their eyes when someone announced a new initiative or program to stop global warming because it's all about the money. Look who's doing the most talking and more than likely they're the ones cashing in on it. Follow the money.

(this is my input, not hers) How many mansions does Biden own? Obama? Kerry? Gore? Clinton? Movie stars? Now add in the private jets, limos and yachts.

 

If true, not a big surprise given the last administration. Green energy is the future and it's time to catch up.

 

I wonder if this happens on every cloudy day in Texas.
