Funny Political Cartoons XIII

Anyone remember the time when political cartoons were funny, because they had a bit of truth in them?

I wish that would come back in style.

 

Actually I'd rather have the cartoonists forced to make stuff up rather than comment on reality.

 

It's impolite to post the same thing in multiple threads.

 

My apologies if I have offended. In having watched this forum for quite some time I'd frequently seen the same items posted in both places, sometimes by one person, sometimes by a different person. I just thought in doing so I was 'saving one of them the trouble'

 

It helps if it's funny.

 

Must say- you've got a point there.... the current state of reality is not at all funny. But also seeing this from the other angle, the ability to laugh at ourselves or make humor of an awful point in time is an important part of how we, as humans, have learned to cope with an uncomfortable situation rather than curling up in a corner and eating our crayons because we couldn't cope and the cheese has slid right off our cracker.

There's much to be said for those who are truly masterful at getting us to take a long look at ourselves and gain a more clear perspective by means of holding our attention through humor before "bringing it home" when they reveal the lesson behind the laughs. In example, two of the all-time greatest at this to my way of thinking: the late George Carlin, and Whoopi Goldberg
