Clinton set the table with financial deregulation and Bush let the crooks run loose.

I do. Obama screwed up the creation of the ACA and missed the opportunity he was given to reconcile the racial divide.

Altho' Obama and HRC seemed to have no problem arming ISIS.. which is what I think the Benghazi debacle was ultimately about.

We never abandoned Iraq. As with Syria, our forces are there to this day, though it looks like this will finally change by the end of the year.

Trump said he wouldn't cut taxes for the top bracket, then turned right around and gave 85% of the tax cut to people making $400,000 a year. Without going into detail, Obama promised a lot of things around universal healthcare and didn't deliver.

McConnell and Senate Republicans might have had a positive impact on Obamacare if they had been willing to play ball on healthcare.

Representatives from the GOP are challenging eachother to arm wrestling competitions for who will get Rittenhouse as an intern. He has become a hero to the right. Meanwhile, in his interview with Tucker Carlson, his story of what happened has changed and he admits he supports BLM. Bizarro world.

Seriously? What should he have done to reconcile a centuries long problem?

Aside from proving he can kill people at point blank range what qualifies him to be an intern?

So you're saying the things he had promised were far more outside what McConnell would've accepted than what we ended up with? Almost like he had some sort of strategy and it somewhat succeeded in that it stopped that gap.......... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

They seem to have caused him to skip his universal healthcare promise, which they reasonably believe to be a bad thing, and instead limited him to obamacare.... almost like that's what they were going for because they knew who would cross the aisle and why in their own party..........................................
    hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Gone into a lower-income white community as his first order of business and told the people there he was their President and would never forget them. He should have continued the forays and tied them to promoting universal healthcare.

McConnell might well have ended up with a better healthcare system than Obamacare if Republicans had worked with Obama.
Who says Obamacare is better than the universal healthcare voucher plan proposed by Senator Coburn, or that Republicans wouldn't have liked Coburn's approach better?

He might also have ended up with the universal healthcare system originally proposed, along with all sorts of other horsetrading involved in securing same.
Yes he could've been more aggressive on offense, but that means he wouldn't have been so good on defense. Its a trade off.

IDK, why don't you look through my quoted post and see if I said that. When you see that I didn't, maybe stop asking stupid questions and try reading what I wrote.

The only people responsible for the mortgage crisis were the borrowers who overextended themselves.
There really was no racial divide until Democrats decided they needed it as a political weapon.

We abandoned Iraq in the sense of meaningful military capability.

Faced with the political reality that he needed a super majority in the Senate to get the ACA past Repub obstruction Obama, after he made concessions to Repubs in the spirit of compromise as the bill was being written, he had to settle for a law Dems would pass. Reform to make the bill better was expected as it always is with legislation that broad in scope. Instead, Repubs set out to sabotage it from the start. https://www.healthinsurance.org/blog/12-ways-the-gop-sabotaged-obamacare/
Had Repubs worked with Dems to make it better it would be more popular than it is now. But for the R's it was always about tearing away at it for political purposes.

That is a very popular sentiment, from respondents, and I appreciate your contributing to my understanding of how widespread, was this view. Saying that it "should be obvious to any objective observer," however, does not explain why you or anyone would believe that this local court's jury verdict, had it gone against Rittenhouse, would have been taken as the standard-setting precedent, nationwide-- this should be obvious, to any objective observer.

Or "tearing away at it" because they think it's bad for the country.

    Really wrong.

For example, NINJA loans. Lots of people bought houses with no money down, had the mortgage issued for many thousands over the purchase price based on fraudulent valuations, used the cash to make payments on the mortgage and whatever else they pleased, and then walked away, refinanced or sold when the loan reset. The lenders bundled up the mortgages and flogged them as high-quality commercial paper.

I know when I was in school I never once thought about a persons skin color. And I never saw anyone being picked on because of their skin color. I attribute that to the fact that we were being taught in a color blind way. No attention was brought to skin color. If someone did something bad they were punished and punished the same as anyone else. If someone did good they were rewarded the same as anyone else that did good.

Mind you I went to a LOT of different schools growing up so I'm not talking about just one school. I've lived in quite a few states when I was a kid from one end of the country to the other. I fully believe that we were on the right track when I was a kid in regards to being color blind. It has all gone downhill though.

Yup. The fault of the borrowers. And secondarily the fault of those who bought the "high-quality commercial paper." Mrs. Hays and I sailed right through that "crisis" without really noticing it because we lived within our means.

I taught history to high school students and adults for more than three decades. Race becomes less of an issue between students when they learn how race impacts their lives.
