Perhaps you can describe what a mass shooter looks like to those waiting in the shadows for someone to come around a corner? Is it someone with a gun? What could go wrong in the confusion

Uh, the guy with the gun, shooting people?

That's why everyone needs to remain in a static position. That way, the only person, moving, with a gun, is the bad guy.

In all states, actually. When purchasing from an FFL. But, that isn't what you're talking about.

No one is saying people should be forced own a gun. I'm saying that people who do should be able to.

If we were all armed, you wouldn't see people showing their asses the way they do.

I don't know if it's really honestly described as "evidence uncovered". The guy posted it online in his manifesto. He wrote about his planned timeline, the route he was going to follow in the store, and what he planned to do afterwards. I wouldn't really call it "getting away with it" so much as just continuing his spree in subsequent locations, sort of like how Elliot Rodger drove down the street shooting and running over random people after the sorority house.

You stated that isn't what I was talking about. Not sure why you think you can speak for me.

I agree with you in that the possibility of firearms being unavailable is a joke.

It is also regrettable that what is possibly the best solution to mass shootings, more accessible and affordable mental health care, is also costly to taxpayers and therefore not politically expedient.

The appeal of more gun control laws is attractive to some people because it requires no personal sacrifice from those who support them and many gun control supporters have an irrational fear of any firearm as if it could explode at any minute.

    Thanks,

For the record, I will not be surprised if they are already using AI to help identify possible future shooters.

BTW, I'm not here to cast aspersions on people who don't understand. I personally witnessed one person who was completely anti gun, and the vet that worked with him, was diplomatic and explained how they work, took him shooting, smartly started with a .22 and worked their way up.

A Taurus in your hand beats a Glock on layaway.

ahaha true, but $280 vs $500 is nothing, anyone who is that close on finances is already in trouble! I can't deny you're right, though. but Taurus is wet **** for guns due to their massive failure rates. Yes, I'm a snob.

In your scenario they all have guns and in what world do all people remain stationary when a mass shooter is on the rampage

Well it's a point that I've made several times on this forum, but the left came up with the Replacement theory. This was detailed in the book, The Emerging Democratic Majority by Judis & Teixeira. It's thesis was that several demographic trends, mainly urbanization and immigration, would give the Democrats a near permanent majority. That was such an influential book that I suspect it was the primary reason that the Democrats dropped the working class (well that and chasing Wall Street dollars) and going full open borders. It really wasn't that many years ago that Democratic politicians could at least provide secure borders rhetoric. They won't even do that now, because they've placed the bet that their political future on millions of poor, uneducated immigrants, whether legal or illegal, will vote for them.

Frankly it's a good bet. All things being equal, "Demography is Destiny" is the logical outcome. But... my suspicion is that the current bounce of non white interest in the GOP is due entirely to two things: Trump and Wokism. If the Democrats had been able to have kept a lid on their crazies and at least provide some fake rhetoric on secure borders instead of having both Biden and Harris implore the illegals to come, the Republicans might not be polling so well (ok not well, but better than normal).

In summary, Replacement theory is so mainstream with the left it's even part of popular culture.

Ok, I'm not buying this for one second. But this family is using the same excuse governors and mayors across the country used for their escalating crimes and murders and people learned from it.

At the buffalo shooting, only one person had a gun and when he was taken out of action, everyone was defenseless. Tell us how that worked.

Doing nothing and hoping for the best won't work because hope isn't a strategy.

The G3 has a pretty good track record. I've seen Glocks malfunction, too. After a thousand rounds almost any gun is broke in and working fine.

Dude, Taurus has a terrible record for quality control. And I’ve never once heard of a stock Glock doing something dumb, but that’s just my circle of gun guys. Ask google about Taurus quality control and step waaaaaaaay back cuz it gets really ugly.
For the extra 220 you’d get a brilliant gun that will work forever, and is reliable. That’s just me I can carry on about gun snob stuff or shooting forever. It’s not worth the risk to go cheap on an edc since it’s the most likely to save you.
