The poorly educated have a tendency to be unable to think on a scale that exists outside themselves. You see this with individuals not really caring about a subject unless they perceive it impacts them. While this isn’t an issue during one’s day to day life, when these people as a minority are given the ability to overrule other, especially the majority, the results can be devastating. In your particular instance it is because they voted for that individual against the best interests of the nation and were seen as gullible and easy to profit from. There is nothing inherently “wrong” with being uneducated — it is only when these individuals get to dictate the lives and laws for others does it present an issue.
