I agree that people should do their jobs but he can't suspend (or potentially) fire everybody unless the plan is to replace them with right-leaning personnel.

What do you think?

Everywhere you go, if there’s a politician who Soros backed, then those places are turning into crime ridden dumps. DeSantis did a smart thing here and got rid of the guy who won’t enforce the laws we’ve been told for years that no one is above.

 

I'm so glad I moved out of Tampa over a decade ago. The leadership there leaves much to be desired.

But I guess if you want to take 45 minutes to drive 3 mi then Tampa is the place to go!

 

Ah, the cheap insult. The toilet of all arguments. Many love living in FL because the quality of life is better. No state income tax, and they don't celebrate Covid. I don't look down on those that choose to live where they can afford. I suppose retirees are not likely to get an abortion, so they will likely moving there.

 

Sounds a lot like northern NJ, NYC and So Cal.

 

I thought they would simply stop offering abortion services, but it looks like they also want to prosecute the women including rape and incest victims......

Prosecutors are elected officials. Just saying. Can DeSantis suspend FL Congress Reps too?

This has never been about those "precious little lives" but about keeping women as 2nd class citizens.

I posted in another thread a few months back that I know a pregnant woman that told her doctor that she wanted a tubal ligation after delivering her baby. The doctor told her that she had to have her husband's consent for the procedure. She said that she isn't married to the baby's father and he told her that she had to have her father's consent. She will just shy of her 30th birthday when the baby is born.

A few months back you responded to me explaining that DeSantis is using some of Trump's tactics and it looks like that is what he is doing here also. Constantly getting his picture and statements in the news, being outrageous, authoritarian, casting doubts, pretending to support his constituents, etc..

The Orange Stain has made a mockery of US politics. All of the rodents need to crawl back in their holes and let the adults run the country.

 

DeSantis is VERY authoritarian, and his only goal in FL Gov office seems to be to campaign for the WH. His style is called "serving sh*t and calling it caviar". Of course many in his base think it's caviar.

 

You are right about it not being about precious little lives. Its all about power derived from the evangelical vote. No different than dems blowing those that help keep them in power. Hypocrites on both sides claim to care about a womans right to bodily autonomy. Of course, if she wants to protect that right from a rapist/killer with a firearm, or refuse to consume a crappy pharma product, dems change their tune.

I do not buy the feigned concern for womans rights from either party. Both are only criticizing their own reflection.
