Predictably, several of the comments one expects when a story such as this one is posted have been made. They're shopworn.

I can easily envision our normal lives in my community continuing without any disruption at all were all firearms to suddenly disappear from it. I cannot envision that same continuation were all knives to vanish.

13 different crime scenes. Having a gun as self defense would have made no difference to those killed or injured

If the murderers used guns there would have been many more than 0.77 deaths per crime scene

 

i don’t know, could it be the ones where you can use your weapon to protect yourself from being stabbed to death? That’s a pretty good one and they ****** that one up. The “nothing will ever happen to me” crowd is a silly bunch.

 

A knife can inflict far more damage than a .223/5.56 round. Your focus is, apparently on stabbing, however there is also slicing and severing to consider. In addition to the stealth of a knife/blade attack initially where most of the surrounding people would be potentially unaware of the danger until several victims are attacked, whereas if a gun is used people are taking cover or running after hearing the first shot.

That’s an illogical fabrication. The first potential victim could have saved the lives off all of them with a concealed pistol.
Why do you want more victims, is it because you just don’t like people who aren’t criminals?

Being a Florida born and bred native I'm far more afraid of getting struck by lightning that I ever am of getting shot.
