She has an audience with the Prime Minister every week and knows precisely what is going on.
She can't decide but She can advise...and what goes on there is STRICTLY private.

Ukrainian ambassadors in England decided to take part in the general flow of mourning for the deceased Elizabeth II by placing a light projection with the image of the queen on the embassy building in London. True, instead of Queen Elizabeth II, they wrote Queer Elizabeth II.
    Maybe they know something?

Neither one has any more actual power than the dead queen does now. Figurehead relics of a bygone age.

That was taken at the end of à public appearance when the four turned out unexpectedly to view the flowers left by the public. They spent half an hour shaking hands and receiving condolences.
I don't know why you bother.

If your kind of thing is ceremony and pageantry, tradition and pomp, really fancy clothes, and contemplating the structures that underpin a major event, then I would say the State Funeral on Monday would be worth watching.
The UK is seemingly throwing everything at it, the late Queen will get the lot….squared!
I would even guess that it will attract the biggest worldwide TV audience for a live event there has ever been.

Been watching every afternoon. Today her coffin is being moved from the Palace to Westminster Hall.
The commentary about her past and people's personal memories have been fascinating this week.
The queues to file past her coffin are estimated to be five miles long and people will be waiting up to three nights in the open, tents not permitted.
It feels like the UK has shifted it's weight from one foot to another. Seismic..

The Full History of Queen Elizabeth 2 (the part hidden away by ALL media outlets) was uncovered in detail by Harvard university graduate and professor C. Elkins. Here is an extract from the book:

So Kenya — particularly after the loss of India in 1947 — becomes one of the jewels in the imperial crown, along with Malaya, in part because it is a major source of cash crop production in the form of tea and coffee. It also has a bit of a romantic affinity with many people in the colonial world — it’s a white settler colony. Because of the settler presence, there was large-scale land alienation from Black Africans, who were overnight turned into sort of landless individuals or populated into very overcrowded reserves, much like we would think of Native American reserves in the United States, and then exploited for their labor on these different plantations.

After World War II, there’s a movement called Mau Mau, which is effectively an anti-colonial movement, as well as a civil war. It’s a civil war because there were Africans on the ground who were also working within the colonial administration, called loyalists. And this war was waged against both what were seen as the white and Black faces of colonial rule. And there was approximately 1.5 million people who had taken an oath ... for their land and freedom. And what ends up happening is it descends into a brutal, bloody battle, and it was largely waged against the civilian population. About 20,000 Mau Mau guerrillas or fighters fought the British military in the forest, and it’s kind of a jungle war.

But a disproportionate amount of the time was spent detaining the entire Kikuyu population who had taken this oath, about 1.5 million people, in detention without trial. And a large number were detained in a detention camp system. And then, for the most part, women and children are detained in a process called “villagization,” where they are put into barbed-wire villages, which are detention camps in all but name. And it’s in these systems of detention where draconian, systematized violence and brutality and torture were instrumented in horrific ways. There was also forced labor and starvation policies. And these were done in order to force this rebellious population to submit to British colonial rule, to reject their Mau Mau movement and to come back into the fold of British colonial control.

The monarch and it's intimate tied to the slavery

In 1660, the Royal African Company was established by the Duke of York, who later became James II, with involvement from his brother, Charles II. The Royal African Company was prolific within the slave trade; according to the Slave Voyages website, between 1672 and 1731 the Royal African Company transported more than 187,000 slaves from Africa to English colonies in North, Central and South America. Many of the enslaved Africans transported by the Royal African Company were branded “DY”, standing for Duke of York.

    Translation: go back to Africa??

Honestly, is this the type of supporters the monarchy has, with comments like that? It appears so and totally unsurprising

How many French Presidents were there during the Queen's reign?

I really just want everyone to move on with their lives. If a certain political environment isn't working then why not just go to one that does work better, wherever that might be. It should be easier now with remote employment.

I can see unattached Muslim males in Europe getting in trouble. I remember about twenty Muslim guys sitting on a wall above a couple of topless females on a beach fifteen feet below in Villefranche-sur-Mer. They were silently ogling the women (my wife spotted the goings on) and it was our thought these guys were fish out of water. Multiply these hundreds of thousands of times and trouble is inevitable.

Well their is slavery going on right now in Africa. Children being sold to perform menial and dangerous work. It's ingrained in some cultures on the African continent. Someone with a passion against slavery could make a difference in the lives of children who have no hope of education and livelihood. Or a person can demonize a culture that ended it. What is more productive?
