There is no maybe about fossil fuels being a limited resource. Plastics tires, and items that last don't dwindle the pool as fast as gas guzzling excuses to subsidize drill baby drill. Pretending we can drill enough fuel to offset speculated market prices around the world, to lower gas prices at the pump.

They are a limited resource. However, we do have sufficient reserves to make an orderly transfer over to renewables rather than trying to do a rush job which hurts us in the short run.

If we are energy independent, which we were, we don't have depend on OPEC manipulating the supply.

Map revisions will be needed as the Dangling Appendage State is inundated by the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.

The worshipful Florida legislature will vote to bill Atlantis and Mexico for any encroachment on the monumental DeSantis effigy of sand being built in Orlando.

Trump is livid that the upstart is challenging his prowess as a cartographer.

Ending subsidies, isn't doing a rush job to move to renewables. Bidens "war on gas" amounts to the extra .20 cents we pay for gas. We know where the rest of the inflated price is due to, and Bidens handling putin swimmingly.

Biden's announcement of an end to fossil fuels resulted in investments drying up. That, among other factors, caused a short fall in drilling.

The industry seems to be doing fine, seems his announcement has lined their pockets just fine.
We are still exporting, there isn't a shortage. Nor were we ever "energy independant".

    Republicans still believe in:

'Don't ask what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.'

But that sentiment is not very popular these days.

The link does not blame it on capitalism. It blames it on what I said to start with

It does so, it specifically states that they arnt using their record profits to reinvest back into drilling or refining because it's more profitable to keep things how they are.

The only "investments" that dried up were government subsidies. They simply don't want to do it with their own money. Capitalism.

The diesel shortage is a refinery issue, if it was profitable to ramp up supply, supply would be ramped up.

You're making the wrong comparison-- the correct comparison is prior midterms.

51.4% For mid terms Compared to other Presidents going back decades is a remarkably poor showing, a veritable bubble bath compared to prior bloodbaths which were the norm, spin it anyway you like but that is the fact.

Sure. Dems are down 13,000,000 votes compared to the prior mid-term. I was trying to save your feelings, but, if you insist.

Fake news. It's very comparable to the 2002 elections where the GOP won the popular vote by a similar margin, and it translated into a similar number of gained seats.

Apparently, you do not know how capitalism works. They invest money to make money. Just like the rest of us invest our time and energy to make money. If people are not going to pay us, we do not work. If there is no return on that investment, they do not invest. Further since they already have millions and billions invested, they are trying to keep from losing that investment. So they try to get back as much of that investment as possible before Biden's policies result in them losing their investments. You call it capitalism. I call it common sense.

    What a joke!

    Fake post.

False comparisons, the comparison is not dems to dems.

The comparison is repubs past midterms, and a 219 - 216 house (projected) and not gaining the senate (when they had only one seat to gain. Not ONE dem was flipped), in the face of high inflation and an unpopular president is like, as Ted Cruz said 'Repubs screwed up'.

    spin it anyway you like.

I'm not the only one saying this, Republicans, Senators, Governors, congressman, etc are saying it:

    Ted Cruz
"The rage that I'm feeling. Because this opportunity was screwed up".

    Lindsay Graham
    "Definitely NOT a red wave".

Republicans blame Trump for midterm disappointments

Trump viciously MOCKED on NYPOST Cover because of poor midterms showings

Want more? there's plenty more, so your little spin ain't squat against the sea of MIDTERM DISAPPOINTMENT BY REPUBLICANS.

Still democrats lost. One major factor in the senate was that there were more republican seats up for election. It is likely that in 2024 that there will be more democrat seats up for election and they will likely lose the senate.

Trump and the Abortion issue got the dems vote out.... Republicans lost

I think those same two issues caused many republicans not to get out and vote

Senate seats are six years, Dems won the Senate... that is a huge loss for Repubs
