Exactly. They always compare white countries to The United States. None of those countries have 30 million+ illegal aliens running loose. Hell, we have more illegal aliens than Canada has people.

It has value. Since the gun when given, lend, rented, sold etc etc to somebody who can not be registered because of his criminal past, it should mean that the gun remains registered under the name of the previous owner. And so when the criminal gets busted with a weapon it may not have, it also means the previous owner gets busted with arming a person who it knows it may not have a weapon.

So this is not about punishing the person pulling the trigger for failing to register.
This is about punishing people arming criminals, and lose their rights to register.
With that, you curb where criminals can get guns from people who legally may have them.
