“A US military intelligence report from last year that focused on China’s use of high-altitude balloons mentioned sightings in Hawaii and Florida during the Trump presidency, according to an excerpt of the report reviewed by CNN.”

So the military found out after the fact that Chinese balloons overflew USA while trump was president. You can’t blame trump for that, right? I mean, he can’t be blamed for something his military and intelligence communities didn’t even know about. Right?

Except there’s this:

General “VanHerck added that the intelligence community after the fact was able to gather intelligence “from additional means that made us aware of those balloons that were previously approaching North America or transited North America.”

White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan also said on Monday that past surveillance balloons were discovered at the beginning of the Biden administration because Biden directed the intelligence community “to increase both our vigilance and the assets that we were deploying to be able to detect Chinese efforts to spy against the United States.””

So the only reason this balloon was detected, and the only reason the other balloons were detected, was because Biden gave specific instructions to increase threat awareness. Something trump didn’t care about.

Most presidents actually read those boring tedious security reports that show up each day. Its the difference between seeing the presidency as a full time serious responsibility, and seeing it as a title you can exploit to make more money and brag about at your golf club. Let's employ a little common sense for just a second: If none of the balloons were detected, or went "undiscovered" as the original claims says, then how do they know NOW that the balloons actually existed and came "near" The United States?

The truth? There's no way they can know NOW, if the balloons were undetected THEN.

The difference is this. Are we aware? Have we seen the Chinese fly these balloons in the past? Yes. I think there’s even Twitter pictures of it flying at one point off the coast of the U.S. down south somewhere. The existence of the balloons is not a mystery to people in that field. What we’ve never seen, what is unprecedented, and whoever the source is at the Department of Defense would have to acknowledge what is unprecedented is a balloon flight that entered over Idaho, flew over Montana, over all these sensitive military installations, air force bases, ICBM fields, right across the middle of the country.

LOL Marco... Unless these balloons are controlled to the most minute detail, EVERY Chinese balloon flight path is likely "unprecedented"...

 

According to Biden, those previous balloons were "undiscovered". If they were undiscovered, it's impossible that there are photographs of the balloons...lol

I don’t know what data they have reviewed, but I have no reason to believe they are lying when they say their review shows something they weren’t aware of in the past.

So Biden gave the instruction that not only resulted in this balloon being identified, but also in finding previous transgressions.

So NORAD wasn’t actively searching for everything that was overflying the US until Biden ordered them too?! What BS! NORAD probably isn’t able to detect balloons and only because a pilot flying near the balloon and reported it to the FAA did NORAD find out and told Biden.
