I remember last couple of years with the pride parade they want to have this great big kink community there and they also want to say it's safe for children.

That's creepy and it's bizarre and it makes people want to resist it I'm wondering if that's not what this is all about.

I don't know because the bills are not going to be voted on for some time (they have been pre-filed, which is what triggered the protest), so I am not sure what they disrupted. Do you know?

I am quite certain the bills will be voted on, and all 4 will become law.

Maybe its important to them. Oklahoma, and some other red States see it important the government take over some of the parenting. Different people, different priorities.

I am not doing anything to advance it, or destroy it. IMO the pseudo-conservative movement is overplaying their hand trying to drive them back in the closet. I don't think it will help them going forward, because its seen very authoritarian, but people who don't even have a dog in the race. Many voters are naturally against authoritarian governments.

I have not read them, so I cannot comment on the bills themselves, and that does not seem to be the purpose of the thread. The OP talks about loss of democracy and an insurrection.

Maybe they should have popular votes about things like these. That way no one can complain later (or before).

Some of the BLM riots were bad indeed, but there was no political motive, so they are categorizes simply as riots. Jan-6 was 100% political and had the goal of disrupting / stopping the presidential election process and even murder the Vice President.

As for the VP, the people were screaming (on tape) “Hang Mike Pence!” and “Bring out Pence!", so.....yea, his life was very much in danger. Some of Pence security detail were saying goodbyes to their families. You can't dismiss everything you don't like as conspiracy theory. That's lazy.
