'Challengers knew that they had Bellows at hello. She was one of the first officials to declare the Jan. 6 riot to be an “insurrection” prompted by Trump’s speech.'

She didn't 'struggle', she jumped at the chance. She immediately jumped on the "insurrection' line that the Left developed on J6 to pull this 14A stunt and she continued chanting "insurrection' with the rest of the zealots for at least a year. Dems know that the election process could easily result in a Trump second term and they are determined to prevent that, by hook or by crook. Their mantra is Democrats may have to act radically to deny Donald Trump the 2024 election. Trump must be defeated. No matter what it takes.

Only a few key states need to bar him and with the ECV the vast majority could elect him, only to have him barred from office by a few key Democrat officials who blocked ballot access. This is proving to be one of the more dangerous legal theories to arise in our long-lived Republic. Clearly Republicans, if this is allowed to stand, will do the same and start stripping Democrats from their State ballots. Zealots think past the next election. Statesmen think past the next generation.

They will see how Democrats held kangaroo courts to falsify information to the public like a president attacking

They will see Democrats in 2016 running commercials asking electors to illegally change their votes
They will see Democrats trying to remove elector votes

They will see how Democrats covered up information about Hunter and Joe Bidens money schemes to sell influence

You are right, they will see a lot and they will come to the very same conclusions.

Trump lost in 2020.

Because of him, you also lost midterms in 2022.

MAGAs make a lot of noise, but they only represent 45% of the Republican electorate.

2024 will be a terrible year for conservatives.

The Democrats are guaranteed to retain the presidency and will win the House.

The Senate will probably be Republican, since the inequitable representation of the states gives you an almost insurmountable advantage.

 

But wait you don't have to prove anything you can just assume it. That is the basic argument made by a number of democrats here and elsewhere.
