many on the left cannot fathom that if we take issue at the hysterics thrown at Trump by people (who's politics we general reject and detest) we must worship Trump. Separating the political agenda from a person seems to be hard for them

I actually agree with almost everything he said other than the idea he was doing what he was doing for some form of nobility. He displays his personal feelings to a point you can tell it’s more about vindictiveness than nobility for his decision. So the nobility argument seemed pathetic to me. I also don’t think Trump should be president but I definitely don’t think he would have ran and hid during 9/11. That was a comment that has no historical backing other than his opinion alone. But I do think he’s unfit for office. However I would never say that anyone who doesn’t think like me is unfit as well. That only reinforces the fact he is being vindictive in nature in his speech.

He started out with a great speech and would have finished much stronger if names weren’t mentioned. People would figured it out without the display of emotion.

So, first, honest or just bloviation, Christie squandered whatever political capitol he had left by forgetting the rules about free speech near a microphone. Any microphone.
    Christie is no longer relevant.

Second until Trump (and biden) are convicted and appeals finalized they BOTH stand innocent and opinions to the contrary need to be taken as opinion.
Thats the way it works in America.

Third, the democratic obsession with stopping trump NO MATTER WHAT seems to have lowered the IQ of democrats.
The 14th amendment attacks, the criminal and civil trials, and the endless propaganda attacks are all justified by democrats to stop trump no matter what in the name of saving democracy.

You might just as well say, we have to destroy democracy to save it.

To be clear, I don't think either trump or biden will make the ballot and have already committed my vote to Haley.

And I see where she bested DeSantis in the Iowa polls this week.

Haley, a war hawk neocon that wiggled her way to getting some nationalist support and that might just be enough for her to win the nomination if Trump falls.

I won't vote for her though, the point of 2016 was **** neocons, and for me it's still **** neocons.

agree. Add to that articulate, intelligent and showed an incredible awareness of the political situation , as it is today.
He was on on point in his message. One does not even have to be a R to recognize this.

    Proverbs
Whoever hates disguises himself with his lips and harbors deceit in his heart; when he speaks graciously, believe him not, for there are seven abominations in his heart; though his hatred be covered with deception, his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly.

TDS is a partisan term, a slur to kill conversation and debate arbitrarily, based on partisan observations of which no one in the mental health, anthropological and sociological fields recognize as a valid condition. A real 'condition' is not partisan and is recognized by professionals in mental health, sociology, psychology, psychiatry, etc. It is stuff the right makes up to avoid debating substance, where they can just say 'TDS' and avoid debate. It would be the same if you made an argument and i said to you, 'well you voted for Trump so you must be wrong'. That's a cop out, like 'TDS' to avoid substantive debate. This is a common logical fallacy and all or most of us, myself included, have made it at some point or other. But I do strive to avoid cop outs and logical fallacies, just the same and TDS is one.

TDS, is a cop out and a thought terminating cliche, and by that fact, a lazy man's argument and thus not a valid argument at all.

You, and many like you, can't grasp the simple fact that Trump is a threat to US national security and is a candidate, and by that fact, is fair game, hence the numerous posts about him.

Rational and justified contempt is not the same thing as blind hatred, so your philosophy is moot.

I don't believe we see that here, what's on display on this site is hands down blind hatred.

    You're anything but.

Clearly, you are not interested in serious debate, you focus on unimportant things such as the pseudo debate trick called 'attack-the-messenger' and avoid substantive debate on a pretense that is, in fact, a cop out, and not the subject at hand. In the last several responses I have yet to see you mention the topic under discussion. all I've seen are cop outs which demonstrates you are not a 'straight shooter'.

Christie gave a substantive argument, as do I. That is not blind hatred, that is rational contempt, which is different.

And the reason you call it that is to avoid substantive debate, which is what a 'cop out' is.

Yes, it was, indeed, a very good, accurate, assessment of Trump, and it comes from a man who knows him up close.

There is no evidence Biden took Bribes.

Let us know when you are able to provide a substantive counter argument, but, that isn't it.

Your pseudo debate trick called 'attack-the-messenger' Iad hominem) is as old as dirt and is, as always, a cop out.

Let us know when you can provide a substantive argument.

I wasn't defining it, I was telling what it is, and what it is is a thought terminating cliche, which is a cop out to avoid substantive debate.

Yes there is. It's been posted ad nauseum. The Biden cult refuses to accept it.

Biden has a cult and it's Chris Christie? Isn't this thread about Christie truth telling about Trump?

It isn't a cop out for anything. He spent more time bashing Trump then he did talking about his policy proposals. That doesn't give anyone good poll numbers. He talked about him more than any of the other candidates have. If they really want Trump to go away they should stop talking about him every 5 seconds.
