Its crazy when a porn star's point of view and actions are far more moral than our government's. Good for her doing what she thinks is right despite the danger.

She isn't the first porn star to travel to Iran. A few years ago a British porn star ("Candy Charms") traveled to Iran to get cosmetic surgery. The usual suspects like to find an angle to create controversy over such things, simply because it doesn't quite fit the nonsensical surreal image they have worked meticulously to convey about Iran. They create controversy hoping they elicit a reaction that serves their propaganda.

It's a good question. Israel has supported Iranian rebels & allegedly assassinated an Iranian nuclear scientist. The rest is pretty fluffy. For example they have attacked Syrian forces nearby supported by Iran.

So they chip away at each other.

The real difference is Iran does not recognize Israel's right to exist. And that's an official line.

 

I would love to visit Iran and it was on my bucket list for a while; they are said to be some of the friendliest, most hospitable people in the world.

Their government scares the crap out of me though. No way...

 

With Israel's current capability plus the support that they enjoy from around the world, Iran would be crazy to directly confront them. I would definitely stick to proxies.

 

Iran will first find a way to get you Americans tired of sticking your nose where it doesn't belong and tire of the region. Once you are out, we will see how Israel's "current capabilities" measure up.

It is sad, especially for me. But I am content that just as Iran had begun shedding the excesses of its revolution, it was US/Israeli actions and plans (e.g., PNAC) that got us where we are. Otherwise, speaking for myself, I just want my country to be left alone to find its own answers, with a strong deterrent capable of dissuading those with other ideas for it, but otherwise in trade, commerce and amicable relations with every country on earth that respects these basic wishes. And I do want you and many more Americans to visit Iran. To get to see things for yourself.
