No charges for Biden after Special Counsel probe into improper handling of classified documents

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/no-charges-biden-classified-records-special-counsel-robert-hur

"Special Counsel Robert Hur will not recommend criminal charges against President Biden for mishandling classified documents, according to his report after a months-long investigation into the president's alleged improper retention of classified records."

"We have also considered that, at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory," Hur wrote in the report. "

"Hur said FBI agents recovered the materials from "the garages, offices, and basement den in Mr. Biden’s Wilimington, Delaware home. But Hur said that the evidence "does not establish Mr. Biden’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt."

While the poor memory and elderly are obvious, the rest is not- and his "mishandling" occurred during the time he was VP under Obama 10 years back- and "willfully retained" as a private citizen.

    This raises questions.
WHY would such a person be considered as fit for the most important job in America, let alone a candidate for another term?
WHY is the standard here as elastic as a rubber band?

Dysfunctional Justice: What's Wrong with the U.S. Legal System
A new book by Bruce Cannon Gibney, a litigator turned venture capitalist, gives credence to that idea. The Nonsense Factory: The Making and Breaking of the American Legal System looks at how jurisprudence has decayed over the last 70 years as laws have become needlessly complex, clouded by politics and influenced by money.

America's Broken Legal System - NYU
America's Broken Legal System February 17, 2021 Too often, the U.S. criminal justice system compels innocent people to plead guilty. It disproportionately incarcerates Black and brown Americans, often for relatively minor offenses. Meanwhile, high-level executives are rarely prosecuted or held accountable for much more serious crimes.

A Federal Agenda for Criminal Justice Reform
The United States' criminal justice system is broken. We have less than 5 percent of the world's population but nearly 25 percent of its prisoners. Mass incarceration has crushing consequences: racial, social, and economic. It reinforces systemic patterns of racial inequity across our society, with vastly unequal treatment at every step.

And our politically motivated Justice Department said he won’t be charged because he’s an elderly man with a failing memory.

Biden has always been a loyal Democrat. Did anyone think anything would happen to Biden with respect to the classified documents?

The best part is where they talk about him being an elderly man with no memory...what a great candidate.

Biden wasn’t charged for the same reason Alberto Gonzales, Pence and Hillary were not charged.

Even if he was sharp as a tack, they would of extended the Hillary defense to Biden. He just didnt know he was violating the law. A lack of the required intent

Don't illegally keep them and share them with others. Giving them back doesn't change that reality.

    That is something else.

I knew there was no way that he was going to face charges, but I admit that I'm surprised that the reason is that he's unfit to stand trial.

    That's simply astounding.

There is no surprise here. There is one legal system for Democrats, and there is a much tougher one for Republicans.

Hunter Biden evaded his income taxes and got away with a lot it as the DOJ allowed the statute of limitations run out. He had a sweetheart deal for the rest until the judge blew up. The Democrat skated again.

The reason is, is that they did not purposefully attempt to hide the documents.

They did not ignore a request or a subpoena. They did not have anyone fill out an affidavit that there were no more documents only to have MORE documents turn up when their home was subject to search based on a validly issued search warrant.

I agree there is a two tier justice system and it bent over BACKWARDS not to charge Trump when anyone like us would have been charged, tried and in jail LONG before now.
