Since when did DoJ not stack indictments of every crime involved? I will tell you when: the minute they learned how much he contributed to 2020 democrats and Sam Bankman instantly became different than you and I.
Thus to protect the democrat donor class, DoJ declined to have a second trial regarding Bankman's illegal campaign contributions to the democrats.
Part of this reasoning, I presume was the ongoing effort to shield his parents from prosecution, as well as not make public the names of democrats who took the money, illegally.
Oddly, politicians caught holding the funds, chose to not return the money to the seized company to be redistributed to those "civilians" who lost the money, instead they donated it to "charities" that support them.

For the case where he was convicted, Sam Bankman will probably get a short sentence or no time at all, pending a Biden pardon, because he is a democrat donor, and whose parents are also heavyweight donors, and Stanford legal professors and heavyweight California democrats.
The fix is in, and if there is anything too holy to disgrace it is campaign funds and the politicians who receive them.

Last spring, prosecutors withdrew some charges they had brought against Bankman-Fried because the charges had not been approved as part of his extradition from the Bahamas in December 2022. They said the charges could be brought at a second trial to occur sometime in 2024.

In their letter to Kaplan, prosecutors noted that they introduced evidence about all of the dropped charges during Bankman-Fried’s monthlong trial.

They said authorities in the Bahamas still have not responded to their request to bring the additional charges at a second trial.

The timing of this release is curious - the weekend into New Years.

    Sure thing...:roflol:
Get back to everyone when that actually happens...
Until then, it is all just bullshit speculation...:bored:
Besides, SBF is already facing 110 years.
Why waste time on a 2nd trial when any potential sentence will be served concurrently?
SBF was found guilty of seven counts of fraud and conspiracy.
Bankman-Fried could face up to 110 years in prison, a significant sentence

***And, completely LMFreakingAO at any sort of Biden Pardon...Dream on...

Yeah, let's totally forget about the people this guy bribed.

And while we're at it, let's forget about Epstien's client list.

Well, the guy did give millions of dollars to the Democrats.

The real test will be if Biden loses and gives Freed a pardon.

This is ridiculous, he is going to get off with a slap on the wrist instead of hard prison time because he paid off US politicians.

DOJ says all that evidence was presented at trial and can used by the judge in sentencing

They are counting on people being too drunk and stoned to see what their government is doing to them.
And BTW, Sam gets sentenced in March '24.

The FBI piles all of the charges on people who are not friends of the democrats, even ones from the civil war era.
I hope Trump sees that his Bankman's parents are investigated, too. They are up to their necks in it. True, today they are above California and federal law, but a new federal sheriff is coming to town tomorrow.

    Political Bribes/donations Matter.

“Politics in modern America has become a lucrative business, an industry that has less to do with policy and a lot more to do with accessing money and favors. … bills and regulations are often introduced not to affect policy change, but as vehicles for shaking down people for … money and favors. Indeed, the motive on both sides often has nothing to do with creating a “correct” policy but instead is often about maximizing profits.”

Joe will not pardon him, and he does not control the DOJ.

He donated to both Republicans and Democrats.

However, did you complain when Trump pardoned a number of his cronies who were convicted and incarcerated?

I hope so, we wouldn't want to call you a hypocrite, now would we?

MAGAs are always complaining as well making everything a conspiracy. Freidman already has numerous charges against him and its clear he is headed to jail, but MAGAs need their conspiracies.

LOL! This thread for sure didn't age well.

I am wondering, though, can Bankman-Fried claim "lawfare" against him, or being persecuted by the deep state? Maybe, he can start running for president, and then everything should be forgiven.

    Could, would, AJ told us...

So many excuses for the OP claiming that Bankman-Fried would get a pass was pure nonsense.
