That's a good point on abortion, though even GOP voters have shown no evidence of support for 6 week ban. Even Red States that have had statewide referendums have thumbed down abortion restrictions. I think that intellectually they agree with restrictions, but they also want an abortion available if they want it.

Rights not granted to government are granted to the States by the 10A,
Rights not granted to the States or the Feds are granted to The People by 9A.
I think that the GOP leadership thought The People wanted a 10A solution when what they actually want is a 9A solution. While DeSantis strikes me as an incredibly intelligent and skillful politician, I think Trump read the room on Abortion much accurately, and more quickly than DeSantis did.

Trump looked much weaker before the indictments than he did afterwards. It may be that the nomination only looked available to someone other than Trump and that it was an illusion, it was always Trumps.

I'd love to see Trump pick DeSantis as AG, I think he would be very much the right choice to oversee reasserting Constitutional Control over the rogue elements of the Federal government, FBI and the ranks of the AG's.

I also agree that Trump and DeSantis were fishing the same pond, and that DeSantis, being the youngest governor in the US has a lot more future opportunities. Interestingly the betting odds are much stronger that Trump will be the GOP nominee than they are that Bribed Joe will be the Dem nominee.

That's just sad, an incumbent running for re-election who has secured enough delegates for a first ballot victory, doesn't even have 8/10 odds of being the nominee.

I appreciate the well considered post, Zorro.

Jesus H, you could easily be talking about Biden and democrats. How many things have democrats either forced you to do or forbidden you from doing?

He should have done this earlier, it would have boosted his presidential campaign no end.

I wonder - maybe off topic - but are there any policies which Democrats implement that do not create more legal services consumption?

He was performing for his potential primary voters as he thought his authoritarianism would appeal to them, but did not realize they only have eyes for Trump.

I too do not understand how or why these laws were passed, but if I had to bet, I would guess it is the result of leftism run amok. It has their fingerprints all over it.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Authoritarian? You're not posting on the MSNBC forum. What exactly are you talking about?

Madness is reflected in many laws in the US of A. I'm glad to see they've repealed the madness of squatter protection laws in Florida.

We do have the castle doctrine. Quite easy to deal with a stranger in your house and solve the problem before police are called.

I am not familiar with this law but it sounds like a good one on the surface.

I hope that DiSantis gets his shot in 2028. Trump will be out of the way, either because he's been elected and is term limited or because he loses for a second time. Only William Jennings Bryan managed to be a three time loser in modern times.

So in another thread I explained the issue and said if we don't like it, change the law.
For that I was called many names.
So is Rhonda also an illegal sympathizer?

    ANYHOO....

Even Rhonda DumAssTits can find an nut outside his brown gowns.

    HOWEVER...
I'd be interested in seeing this "form" before commenting.

Fill out a form, give it to the sheriff and the sheriff must evict the residents?
With just a form as backing?
No one else sees the potential abuse here?

I'm not opposed to the idea but knee jerk reactions most often end up getting kicked about a foot above the knee.

I don't know why you're telling me about the bad people calling you names because I didn't.

I suppose if you're very interested you can look the law up for yourself. I have provided a handy Link in the original post which shows a good starting point to satiate your curiosity

He's a governor, a man of action. Thanks to him July the 1st of last year Florida residents who can legally own a gun now don't have to kiss the government's ring and ask permission to conceal said weapon.

I suppose we'll sit here and wait the better part of forever for you to prove that.... But since it's your claim you can easily prove it should you choose to do so... That is your mission... Should you choose to do so

So it's not governing, it's pandering.

    There's a reason he's called Governor Pandersalot.

What if they had more guns than you, are younger and more physically fit and now have the advantage of defending a home where as you are on the outside trying to get back in.

Did you actually read where it goes into effect July the 1st just like his permitless concealed carry law last year did?
