The state legislature in CA is 75% Democrat. The Republicans can't block crap.

It is not all one thing. The conduct that is the subject of this post is already illegal in CA. This measure intends to change that conduct from a misdemeanor to a felony.

I mean, 16 or 17 is the age of consent in quite a few developed places. It would make sense it's less of a big deal than buying a 6 year old who is more helpless, less able to understand what's going on, does not appear like they may be an adult, and clearly unable to offer any actual informed consent (in an ethical sense, i.e. truly understanding what's going on and giving their okay - 16 year olds can do that far better than young children). Soliciting sex from a 17 year old 1 day before her birthday would be a felony, and totally fine the next day? It just makes no sense. Having it be a crime, but a lesser crime, in the transition from childhood to full adulthood does make sense.

 

The Marxists want anything that hurts the country. Their twisted plan is to destroy the U.S. and attempt to restore it with their ideology. Honestly I don't think it will work. Even the leftists will figure it our at some point and put it to pasture.

 

I considered that, but when I looked it up, in CA the age of consent is 18, at least according to what I could find.
