    Very true...
Hard to imagine that Trump would testify...

If I were a betting man, I would give 20:1 odds that he won't testify.

    I'm not so sure.

Of course, his lawyers will do the best they can do to prevent that.

But, Trump LOVES a podium, and he seems to think that his actual crimes can be "explained away" and are unimportant compared to the publicity he gets.

Can he really walk out of the courthouse on that final day having been found guilty and NOT having said his piece in court?

He's oh so injured! And, it's all so unfair.

Thats because by then Hillary had taken over control of the DNC. They paid the Hillary's campaign bills at her direction. .

One of the jobs of the central party committees is to raise money for the candidates of their party. How they are organized can be both legal and a major problem for the candidates. For instance, the RNC has promised to direct all its money to Trump - which means trouble for down ticket candidates, if that's what actually happens.

Also, if Trump followers are fine with him using their donations to pay lawyers his gigantic legal bills, that's fine, too, as far as I know.

The Stormy Daniels case is NOT the same, as he cooked the books in illegal ways to try to hide payoffs to his prostitute.

Like always, it ends up being the cover-up that is the larger legal problem.

The trials get started as fast as they can, but it is clearly and incredibly slow process.

One of the main reasons is that Trump has hired lawyers who work day in, day out to delay.

Trump is not above the law. The fact that he has many dozens of charges ahead of him come from HIS OWN ACTIVITIES.

He chose to rape Carroll (sp?). He chose to hide documents from top level authorities. He chose to commit crimes in hopes of invalidating our last election. He cooked the books on his hush money payments. He chose to commit financial fraud in NYC.

Now, you want to IGNORE that in order for him to WIN THE PRESIDENCY????

THIS is the most damning part of America imaginable. We want a criminal for president!!! THAT is what's wrong here.

Absolutely!!! One can imagine how the R's and MAGAs would react if a Dem candidate was in the same situation. The outcry would be voluminous. It goes beyond any "double standard" .and into a stratosphere of alternate reality.

    And it SHOULD be voluminous.

America needs (and deserves) leadership that is for real.

The part that astounds me is that Republicans can't find better leadership than they have put forward for top office.

And, how the HELL did Republicans pick the members of the House that they have??? It's no better than a constant cat fight.

Plus, Speaker Johnson was a key force in working to invalidate the last presidential election!!!

He should be in PRISON, not holding an important high office.

are you trying to say if he is found not guilty, that the hush money never happened? funny the right never defended his lawyer when he went to prison

if Trump gets a not guilty, will be like OJ getting a not guilty imo, it happens

I’m looking at these things from an election perspective. Not a personal one. I said the 91 federal indictments, the two civil trials guilty verdicts haven’t hurt Trump. At least not in the polls as he has lead Biden since last September 2023. Perhaps an acquittal in this hush money case will be the same. We don’t even know if a guilty verdict would change the polls. We assume it would, but we don’t know that based on the past history of the indictments and the two civil trials.

As for stating that this may say more about Biden than Trump, Biden is president today, not Trump. Have you or anyone ever thought that without all the legal problems Trump is having, had, that without the indictments, the two civil trials, the just begun with the other pending criminal cases to come, that he could have led Biden by a much larger number than 1-3 points. That in fact, Trump’s legal problems have hurt him. Could be Biden is such a weak candidate, old, frail, unenergetic, uninspiring and unable to generate enthusiasm, very low job approval numbers and way below 40% approval on his handling of most other issues and much more. Among those who state they’re supporting Biden, over half state their vote isn’t for Biden, it’s against Trump. Just the opposite is true with Trump supporters, most are for Trump, very few anti-Biden. Which boils down to a basic tie between these two when considering the MOE of plus or minus 3 points.

The democrats, the anti-Trumpers in my opinion have been so fixated on Trump that they failed to realize how weak a candidate Biden is. Biden’s approval and favorable numbers would have ensured his defeat in a landslide against any other opponent other than Trump in the past. Look at Ford, Carter, G.H.W. Bush and Trump in 2020. All had similar numbers. All lost. Could be Trump is the only reason Biden is still in this race. That both Biden and Trump need each other in order for one or the other to win. That neither one could win facing a different opponent.

Bottomline which is lost on both Trump and Biden supporters, on the pro and anti-Trump factions is that most Americans don’t want Biden reelected and at the same time, don’t want Trump to regain the white house. That is impossible to fathom or even come to terms by those who are avid anti Trump or those avid pro Trump. That neither is wanted as the next president by approximately 60% of all Americans.

Guilty of what? Has a statute been referenced yet? I read that in the indictment, a misdemeanor is referenced and the argument went something like, If he committed this misdemeanor and it was in regards to his election, he committed a felony and then? Doesn't tell us WHAT felony. Maybe one has been offered since then. Do you have a link stating which one it is? Thanks.

Porn star, not prostitute. And exactly the same under the llaw in that Hillary paid Fusion GPS and Crowdstrike to fabricate the Russia Russia conspiracy and called it "legal fees". And different in that Trump paid the money to preserve his marriage and avoid embarrassment. He would of paid whether he was running for President or not. While Hillary paid purely to affect the election.

Not quite right. The misdemeanor of false business records becomes a felony if it was done to hide or commit another crime. Bragg hasnt even stated what the other crime is alleged to be.

Hillary is in the exact same situation except the FEC determined that Hillary was guilty and Trump was not. Much as John Edwards who was charged and prosecuted and found not guilty.

We have 4 years of the Trump presidency that demonstrates he is the best candidate. Much as the dems have almost 4 years of Biden presidency that demonstrate he is the worse candidate.

Other affairs would be irrelevant to the case. Affairs arent illegal. Whether he had an affair with Stormy is irrelevant to the case.
