Liberals think too much

Oh, don't tell me we are going to start the calender over again. I hate it when they do that.

 

Why don't you actually contribute something instead of criticizing someone for their spelling or grammar? I hate when people do this. It's a forum. You don't have to have perfect spelling or grammar to understand the message a person is trying to say.

 

Oh god you just opened up a perfect thread for liberals to be arrogant and think themselves smarter than their opponents.

Someone puts a gun to your head... you have only a few moments to make a decision... the natural reaction is to move quickly and get out of the way.

Incorrect. Liberals would have used their forethought and planning to not get in a situation where a gun was pointed at their head.

Alternatively, they would have already banned firearms so there is little chance of a gun being pointed at them.

You are already trying to think of a way not to make a decision before you even have a chance to make one. Once again a liberal proves my point.

1. That doesn't excuse the number of liberals who have already claimed exactly what I said they would claim.

Be specific, not "I don't watch fox news, and I'm informed".

Something along the lines of telling me what your job is in real life. Something tangible that puts you above others.

 

I work in the media industry. I also did pretty well in school and have a degree and some post graduate qualifications.

Thats about as tangible as you'll get from me. I'm not in the business of giving out personal information online.

But its the internet so how can you trust even that? Anyone can say they are whatever so there's not much point asking what people do in real life

 

Making tough-decisions and over-thinking things are both signs of weakness. A leader must be in times of peace and stability, smart and research and plan ahead and think things over, but when he is facing crisis or swift change in society, he must act with limited resources and his own gut.

Just using your gut or your brain for everything means you are not qualified for the job.

I am not going to say anything about liberals or conservatives, but I will say that generalizing is a tool used by those who cannot think beyond bumper-stickers.

Note: I am not trying to be smug, I just want people to stop making grandiose spiels.

Note:Also, Conservatives think they know better as well. That is how you become a leader, you are either good at solving problems or highly opinionated.

 

Yes, that's a problem, you could be lying.

However, I would bet that most corporate executives, who tend to be conservative by nature and incentive, are very smart and not only did "pretty well" in school but did extroardinarily well.

So you see the problem with liberals coming on here acting like they can critically think situations better than these guys?

You claim you don't think yourself smarter than others because of your political affiliation; maybe that's true. But I can tell you some posters just in this thread think that, as exposed in their posts in this thread and in others.

Do you agree that they have an ego problem and the easiest way for them to get over that is to associate themselves with the "smart ones"?

I don't get the point of this thread. You are basicly saying Liberals wanna get all the facts and think about the results of their actions. Before making that action. Instead of just making an uninformed gut reaction? How is this negative at all!

Here we go again. See previous posts that predict people who are of probable average intelligence will insinuate that they "think more" than others.

 

Well since we're discussing it rationally.

I admit that left-wingers can come across as arrogant as they always seem to be telling everyone what is best.

And Yes I realise there are intelligent conservatives... many of whom are far smarter and more successful than myself. I've never said all conservatives are stupid.

But the way I see it the smart conservatives use their abilities to benefit only themselves. What do we see when a right-wing government gets into power? Tax-cuts- benefiting the very rich most of course and lucrative government contracts for certain corporations and then come the laws cutting welfare spending and making it easier to fire people and making it legal to work employees for longer hours, give them less holidays and pay etc etc etc. The long and short of it is that right-wing governments goal imo is to make the very rich even richer.

American conservative leaders are even more insidious. They trick those less intelligent than themselves into supporting them on emotional grounds and once they have power they proceed to screw over their supporters.

I'm not going to say that intelligent left-wingers don't act to benefit themselves but it is not on the same scale. Left-wing governments on the whole act with the goal of making society a better place to live in for all it's members. This is why I support left-wing politics.

It boggles my mind to see the irrational vitriol that some of the conservative supporters on here spew at the left, while if a republican government was in power these people would be getting buggered by the very politicians they voted into office. Don't they see that some of the thing's that Obama has done like Medicaid will help them personally?? This is why I think alot of left-wingers see the right as the party of "stupid".

 

I have been a conservative since I was 17, I am now in my 50's Fox News did not exist then.
and I have more degree's then I have fingers on one hand. smart is not the issue here.

If you were smart you could have explained your need for social assistance, while I need
no social assistance. I am independent, which means I depend on no one.

As for your use of the label "benevolent" I see you don't really understand the word.

Whatever man. The reality is that one who claims/implies that there is something "wrong" with applying deep thought to complex issues, is usually being overly simplistic.

2. I want something tangible, what have you accomplished with all your intelligence? I feel you cannot back up your perception of yourself.

 

Say what you mean, mean what you say. Stop trying to judge others period. No one cares that YOU think (or even know) that you are smarter than another.

You'll have to find what's "tangible" for yourself, no one is going to align all of their values, beliefs or experiences to spoon-feed YOU. (Please, get real.)
