Almost 4 months later, and apparently, ZMud still hasn't regained enough thinking power to post again.

I must say that often some liberals would use metaphors and other forms of logic when they communicate. It is very difficult for less intelligent slower simpler people to communicat in this fashion. In addition, some liberals use complex sentances with more that one or two concepts involved. This is again difficult for simple slower people to understand. And in most cases th slower thinker just hears noise. As a result the simple slower person thinks the liberal does not know what they are talking about or misinterprets what the liberal is saying or writing.

You can tell when a liberal politician is losing the audience. The simple slow listener only hears and/or understand the first part of the concept, and the rest is noise. The simple slower ones will nod affermatively so as not to look stupid. This is also seen with semi illiterate individuals who can do some reading and communication at a 5th grade level. Overall if the audience is less intelligent and has no capacity to understand the general concepts of what is communicated, the speach/presentation is a fail/waste of time.

For any liberal politican to communicate with a slow and simple person they must break down complex issues into it's simplest forms. And this is no easy task. That is why most liberal politicians and liberals in general are overlooked and cast aside. Because they have no ability to communicate with simple slow people.

Liberals have a hard time buying into the bogus speaches of conservatives and t-baggers because the message they communicat to the liberal has no substance. Often the liberal will feel their intelligence is insulted because of the simple 5 word sentances, and double spacing of lines on correspondence. Most of what concervatives say is just simple 5 word (easy to understand) one concept phrases that have no real meaning other than to elicit emotion and rant. The liberal has no response for a dialogue with no consepts or substance. And the Liberal feels it is a waste of time to engage in such meaningless banter. Most liberals discover that you can't try to persuade a slow simple thinker into expanding thier views on complex topics/issues, as the slow simple thinker has not capacity to understand more than simple 5th grade comprehension. Or what I call religious comprehension; where ideas are two dimentional, righ or wrong, yes or no, good or bad, do or don't do, etc...

So there you have it that is how liberals think.

There are intellectual conservatives. Conservatism has a long history of intellectualism.

The problem is that there is a big difference between economic conservatives and social conservatives oftentimes.

While many people support both forms, the people who focus more on economic conservatism usually have more of a libertarian bend and tend to be more intellectual, whereas people focused on social conservatism are often highly religious and somewhat lacking in the intellectualism department.

A lot of rhetoric is used to support social conservatism, and it's mostly without much logical merit.

Economic conservatism has more of a rhyme and reason to it, although the lack of education in economics among the public tends to make it hard to find someone well-versed in economic policy beyond dogmas they've been told (conservative or otherwise).

By extension, rhetoric often is the focus of discussions by politicians attempting to sell economic policy, for fear of going over people's heads with knowledge.

The Tea Party seems to be a good example of what happens when rhetoric takes precedence over knowledge. It's clearly not the intellectuals running the GOP right now.

If William F. Buckley was still alive, he probably wouldn't be too fond of the direction that the GOP is currently going in with regards to this.

The federal budget can be cured with a quick and simple decision. Remove income tax and implement the FAIR TAX.

Well, which is it? Liberals are the only ones that think before they act - just like at the current crisis created by the ignorant Republicans in Congress, who assumed that they could hold the debt ceiling hostage, get their stupid demands met, and then everything would be honkey-dorey! Now, the unable to think Republicans are blaming Obama for the fallout. Now that is what non--thinkers do.

Liberals base their decisions on "feelings". Conservatives actually use logic and reason.

Many conservatives, and many politicians are too rational, and don't try to analyze, synthesize, or create enough.

Last night on the Colbert Report, the author of A First Rate Madness, Nassir Ghaemi stated that being too rational, or too normal could be a burden to a politician.

    Good one. ;-)

OP. Liberals change causes like a kid with a cut and a box of band aids. Endlessly peeking at it, surveying it, changing up the angle of the band aid, re-applying it, and looking for other cuts on other digits.

This requires a lot of studious scrutinizing, and subsequent dramatic pain about it all, because they are really just trying to save the hand, don't you know.

Which approach caught Osama Bin Ladin? Collecting evidence and intelligence of his whereabouts then going in convertly and subtlely using well thought out tactics and strategy?

Or attacking a country based on a gut feeling that they might have WMDs and they might be working with Al Qaeda?

I can explain how liberals think, which will explain everything to a T. Now I know that most
conservatives will read this halfway through and will have figured out what will happen before
it does, but just bear with me ok?

There was this liberal bricklayer, who was working on a 5 story building laying bricks.
he has a huge stack of bricks up there with him, and when the end of the day came he
had finished his job, and he did not need the rest of the bricks. so he put a rope
thru a pulley that was there and tied one end to a large wooden bucket, then he ran down
5 flights of stairs and grabbed the other end of the rope and tied it to a small tree trunk.

then he ran up the 5 flights of stairs and began to place all the left over bricks into the
large wooden bucked, and as luck would have it, all the left over bricks fit right into
the large wooden bucket. then he ran down the 5 flights of stairs and began to untie the
    rope.

At about the time he got the rope untied, he realized that he weighed less than the bucket
of bricks, and before you know it he was tossed up into the air and about halfway he met
the large wooden bucked and hit his head on the bucket, and he continued until he found himself
at the top with his fingers stuck in the pulleys. well he struggled to remove his fingers and
just when he got them free, he felt himself falling so he grabbed the rope, but only to realize
that the wooden bucked had hit the ground and the bottom of the bucked broke loose, and now he weighed
more then the bucket, because all the bricks fell out through the buckets bottom. he felt himself
falling and he met the bucket about halfway and hit his head on the bucket. and before he knew it
he fell back first onto the pile of bricks below. this caused him so much pain that he let go of the
rope, only to realize that now the bucket weighed more than the end of the rope, and the bucket
    came crashing down on him.

When he got out of the hospital, he thought about that day alot, and the only thing he would
ask himself was, how could a complex chain of events come from just undoing a f**kin simple
    knot?????

Why is it that the religious, far right-wing, conservative 'people' fear knowledge, learning, education and thought? Why is the word INTELLECTUAL a curse word to them?

This is about raw numbers. Which party increased the debt by a higher dollar amount?
