Your comments about liberals are why we should have a formal debate zone - no one will be able to get away with such against either cons or libs there.

Thats really why youre so against, you like it the way it is, this way you can speak whatever (*)(*)(*)(*) you like and not have to back it up or even respond.

Are there any cons here willing or able that we could recommend who would be good at this debate format?

It's not, we want to expand it, others want to shut people out!

But it's an option. You don't have to participate! Many here wouldn't, apparently. But to say the idea in general is stupid seems foolish; it merely adds to the forum, doesn't take from it.

There are, but they seem to object as well. Frogger is a very good poster, but he is opposed to this, for whatever reason. I think SirThaddeus, being a mod, is interested. He is a good poster. Shiva is a libertarian, but he is a good poster. There are at least another dozen or so libertarians who are very good debaters, even if I disagree with them about most things. There are also a number of smart conservatives who have been driven away by the trolls, notably southpaw and anikdote(who was really really smart, and an excellent poster).

Frodly is definitely telling the truth about his credentials. He's shared enough real world information about what undergrad school he went to and what the programs there were like and where he applied for grad schools and details about the programs there and where he is going for grad school and all that that if he were making it up it would have taken him days of research to know all that stuff... And, frankly, you can pretty easily tell from his posts that he is extremely smart and very well educated. If he didn't score extraordinarily well on standardized tests and go to a top notch school I would have been stunned.

my point is that this is an internet forum. Don't tell us about all the stuff you do in real life, there is no proof, no one cares or believes you; it is too easily faked.

live or die by what you put on the screen, don't expect people to bow because you claim expertise.

And the point being, as Teamosil stated; frodly has shown it.

    Look at what I posted.

To say I am smarter, therefore I am correct is fallacious reasoning, and I never made that claim. I simply responded to another poster telling me he would "really love if there was a way all 3 of us could take an intelligence test." I didn't just volunteer that information out of the blue.

Regarding California, the proof is in the pudding. You don't have to accept it, but is dwindling before our eyes with a deficit larger than most countries, all ran and controlled by liberal numb nuts.

As for a failure in debate, teamosil continues the foolish and ignorant road of having no rules or restrictions on the subject of voter ID, proof of citizenship.

And as for your debating skills, just read the drivel you just wrote about the intelligence and skillful debating of libturds, all subjective.

I used California as a shining example of the utter failure it has become all because of liberal politics and over spending. So enjoy your delusion catch.

That IS known. AZ actually does have 2 Nobel Prizes. One in Physics, the other in economics. He is just that brilliant, that his contributions to both fields were that extraordinary.

Until the real world hits me? I worked as a manager in software companies for 10 years. Before that I worked with kids that were on probation in DC. I have had jobs doing everything from office assistant to washing dishes to director of a whole department in a software company. I've lived in the country and in big cities. I've lived on both coasts and in the midwest and I've spent a fair amount of time in Texas and the south for work. I've spent a total of about 6 months in Europe for work and I've been to India, the Middle East and South America. I've attended a rural elementary school where every class had to be split grade because there were not enough students to a big, but poor public high school and a top notch university and a good law school. I've worked for startups, big companies and as an independent contractor. I've spent a summer in a cabin in the middle of nowhere with no electricity or running water. I know how to use both a chainsaw and lexis/nexis. At different parts of my life I have used a snowmobile and business class international flights as significant portions of my travel itineraries.

When exactly were you thinking the real world would hit me?

It seems to me like conservatives sometimes assume that liberals are just liberal because they haven't had much experience with the real world, but the reality seems to be exactly the opposite. Conservatives often seem to live in roughly the same place their whole lives, not travel much, not do a very wide variety of types of things in their lives... Seems to me that the broader somebody's real world experience is, the more likely they are to be liberal.

Teamosil has his opinions which you clearly disagree with. My argument still stands, you can't readily find something he said that was factually incorrect.

Many posters on this forum are wrong very often, Teamosil and Frodly aren't in that category.

    It's those biased Scandinavians.

I don't like to boast, but it is true. I also have a pet elephant because I can. This is a recent picture of me, for those who don't know what I look like.

I work as an instructor at the Acme College of Beauty in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. Before that I managed the KFC in Fort Smith. I bet you don't know how to apply makeup do you girlfriend? :) Hahaha.

That probably makes me better educated than you. Lawyers are a dime a dozen.

    There's something you don't realize:

It's not possible to have a higher state of consciousness and to be arrogant at the same time.

Perhaps it does, but didn't you previously claim to be from LA? Something about "living in the barrio" too, no? Or am mixing you up with somebody? Or did you mean Louisiana when you say "LA"?

I'm not being arrogant, I'm dispelling jthorp's assumption that because somebody is liberal they must not have experienced the "real world".

Is it possible to have a higher state of consciousness? That just sounds like trite nonsense to me.

So you guys can insult liberals and when the liberal shows that the insults are false, the liberal is being arrogant... Good one...
