Assuming these numbers have any merit, I let the tax cuts expire for the "rich" and made all available cuts to the military. I'm still hundreds of billions short, and I don't think those cuts to the military are realistic, rational, or "modest".
I don't pretend it's Bush now. Obama owns these cuts. He advocated them. These are the Obama tax cuts. He's right in line with the rich corporate establishment now. Just like 100% of the GOP.
Right, we should just trust a paper that is a hotbed of leftist ideology. They have no agenda of any kind.
Let me hold your hand....I'll do it for you, save it, and post it here. Give me 1 minute. *** I'm back. Never touched entitlements. Never cut anybody's pay. Didn't eliminate any Federal departments. Budget balanced primarly by cuts in Defense and tax increases on the wealthy. http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2010/11/13/weekinreview/deficits-graphic.html?choices=w3x045qt
Oh, you mean you're going to present a specific plan that I can actually address instead of just spouting off meaningless platitudes? Gee, thank you so much.
Back to it?Bush has been the scapegoat for the past 2 1/2 years. The Libs cant take responsibility or admit when he screws up. Even in Bushs book(Decision Points, great book by the way),he atleast has the balls and admits where he (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up,but this man cannot owe up to his mistakes!
Wow, even when you try to slam Obama, you can't help but try and swing it back to the Republicans.....lmao!!!
So what? When you catch me having a double standard or being hypocritical you just let me know. I have principles and values that transcend Party politics unlike 95% of right wingers.
If the Bush/Obama tax cuts and Bush/Obama wars were magically expunged from our history, we would still be racking up mountains of debt, and staring at well over 12 trillion worth by early 2013.
Right. I understand you don't agree with my views and are unable to present a valid argument against them using objective evidence. That's not surprising. but when you catch me having a double standard ....you let me know will you? Because it's important to me to be consistent. ...Thanks.
Well so be it. I opted for the first three general selections, every military cut, every tax increase on the wealthy, lowering of mortgage deductions for the wealthy, and a bank tax, and it balanced.
That lowers the yearly deficit of about 1.3 T to 1.23 T. Now show us the modest cut to Defense that eliminates that Put up or shut up.
I don't "put up or shut up" to someone who has the reading skills of a four year old....It's a waste of time....LOL Dwell in ignorance for all I care....LOL
They also referenced the Sovereign Government Rating Methodology and Assumptions which they use to rate credit of sovereign nations which addresses entitlements including health care and pensions, and a nations willingness to cut into such programs in order to maintain fiscal responsibility. After registering with S&P, it can be downloaded here. As I keep posting, they also said they do not presume to determine revenue/spending ratios, but as noted above, cutting entitlements is KEY to fiscal responsibility. I respect fact checker. His/her posts reflect precisely what the nic suggests. They take the time to read sources, not biased evaluations of the sources.
