Well, its obvious to see obama has not done so much for united state but still accomplished a thing every prime minister would like-Ben laden down.By killing the head of the awful organization,he has brighten the world and brought new hope to us that the infinte terrorism left back.Nevertheless,he will never be elected again because he doesn't try his best to get america itself better. The americans fairly believe that obama must fix things go wrong in usa and only after face the global problems Obviously obama hardly invests efforts to keep usa stable and mostly tries to settle global dissents.

I think you are a Republican bull (*)(*)(*)(*)ter, and you are making things up. I don't think there are any facts in recognized media to support your remarks. Verify or retract. Links please.

All I am pointing out is that you are 1). Off-topic, and 2). the conflict between haves and have nots has gone on under many names at many times. It is a fact the upper class rides through life on the back of the working class.

I am a practical liberal Democrat. I have no illusions about the hardball of politics of American life. While I hope we are striving for ideals, I do NOT anticipate utopia in my lifetime. I make a conscientious effort NOT to live in a bubble, we have enough like you floating around in never-never-land. I am not trying to tell you who and what to hate, I am telling you that you are out of touch with reality.

    You are very correct, Dware.

I wonder if these people will be foolish enough to vote for Barack Obama again?

Regarding schools, if the nation wishes to allow it's citizens to achieve some or full potential, and one of these areas is obtaining education, then the government must create the education system, but the government can work with private enterprise to implement the system.

Security is provided by government at all levels. It's simple for me; if an area is riddled with crime, I'm not going to live there! For those who cannot move from crime-ridden areas, the government should be doing a better job.

Privatization has it's place just as government has it's place. Privatization is only going to fulfill those areas which provide ROI which means a gigantic portion of education, transportation and security will not be covered. This is unacceptable to me...

Apparently we will have to agree to disagree. While we agree on some things, you obviously have much more confidence in government's ability to anything well than I.

You would be wrong; I think the federal government is a pathetic failure!

It's embarrassing to Americans how pathetic our government is today!

But as I stated, most private business is for-profit, and therefore, will create a profitable business around stuff that works well in their business model. They will not deal with fringe crap that is not profitable. So depending on what the government (citizens) requires as a nation, for example, a public education system, private for-profit enterprise is not going to deal with all the slackers and slower learning students and the poor side of town and all the other crap problems today with parents and kids. In these cases in which the nation requires an equitable program for all kids no matter the circumstances, I suspect it will be impossible to find private enterprise to do this. Like the postal service who can have a private enterprise do mail delivery in highly dense areas but private enterprise wants nothing to do with delivering one piece of mail to Timbuktu!

Government is absolutely necessary, however, my caveat is to minimize government and maximize the economy...

Your position seems contradictory. You admit that government is a pathetic failure, yet you want it responsible for teaching children and transporting communications. Where we disagree is on whether private individuals can do those (and most other) jobs better than government. I contend they will.

    What Obama has accomplished:

    -Alienated our overseas allies
    -Destroyed the American economy
-With the constant scandals, he's managed to make Nixon look honest

It's not a matter of disagreement for me...it's fact. Tell me, how many Whole Foods stores are located in the poorer parts of the USA? How many Macy's? Private enterprise is ONLY interested in the low-hanging profitable fruit! And this policy makes perfect sense to me! Private enterprise, in the areas of education, security, etc. will never provide equitable services to all Americans...

How many rent-to-own places do you see on the good side of town?

    How many Wal-Marts?

Wherever there is a potential market, private enterprise finds a way to serve it. If school is privatized, there wouldn't be any really expensive private schools on the poor side of town, but there would be schools, and few states would allow such schools to fail to meet reasonable education standards.

    You are very correct, OldManOnFire.

Macy's and Randall's are going to locate their stores in safe neighborhoods where affluent people live who can afford to buy their products. They are not going to locate their stores in crime-infested neighborhoods where poor people live who cannot afford them.

Why the liberals in our group cannot understand this simple fact and this simple truth is beyond me!

So you believe a private enterprise is going to go into the poor side of town and give the identical educational opportunities that are given on the wealthier side of town?

    I don't...

This is happening in Washington DC as we speak.

There was a documentary on education this week and the program showed a charter school and a public school located in the same building side by side.

When it comes to test scores, the kids in the charter school kicked the pants off the kids in the public school. Parents are lining up to get their kids into the charter school. Currently admission is based on a lottery system

    Who got Bin Ladin again?

    Who passed health care reform?

Who cut taxes on working Americans?

    Who invested billions in infrastructure?

Who supported the transition of Libya to democracy without spending $3T like Bush in Iraq?

Who ended the misadventure in Iraq?
