No, worst is "the Mist" mainly because it makes me see a red mist. They are trapped in a hardware store surrounded by a mist with mysterious monsters and they are worried because they only have one gun and a few bullets? HELLLOOOOO!! You are in a HARDWARE/Supermarket!! Obvious a MAN wrote this because he has never been near a cleaning product in his life! The most incompetent bunch of scientifically illiterate bozo's I have ever seen on a screen
I find the Saw, Hostel, and other like movies to be disgusting. I will never understand why the senseless suffering and grotesque deaths of human beings is so entertaining for so many to watch. I actually have a difficult time trusting those who are in love with these movies.
Good grief. Some of the best movies ever made involve senseless acts of human violence, murder, suffering, etc. I take it you're not a fan of the Godfather, Psycho, Scarface, Silence of the Lambs, among others?
You mean the John Carpenter's version with Kurt Russell.? That is a classic.Great Horror movie.Has all the elements of suspense, action, and yes, gore {blood & guts} which I don't really need. A disgusting Movie that makes me queasy just thinking about is : Eraserhead
Those are a tad different. In those movies the human suffering furthers the story, simply a apart of the movie. The story of the Godfather could still be told without the images of violence, which is a testament to the writers and directors abilities. In movies such as Saw or Hostel, the suffering and grotesque deaths are the story. I simply do not like the style of those movies. However, I do have an issue with people who are absolutely fascinated by the violence, and watch the movies for no other reason than the grotesque violence and death.
I actually watched The Thing for the first time on Halloween, quite a good movie. The concept of a shape shifting alien is quite interesting to me.
Sounds more ridiculous than disgusting. I haven't seen it, but my parents have. I think they actually liked it.
No, I doubt the raging liberal Stephen King has ever been near a hardware store either. Nor has he any kind of grasp on how to make a bomb out of household products, something every American kid knew in my day. It has one good sequence...when the "something" is crashing into the loading dock door. I think it was his attempt to capture the atmos-fear of Alian, it was so scary because you never really saw the whole alien until the final scene....and watching a whole movie with Sigourney Weaver in her underwear was OK too. The film that makes me gag? City of Angels with Nicholas Cage. I swear if Cage would have bulged his eyes one more time to show us that as an angel he didn't understand humans I would have taken a flame thrower to all of Hollywood.
The Human Centipede is about three individuals sewn together anus to mouth by a mad German scientist.
Actually, I surprised myself by watching the whole movie. Although extremally disturbing, it was very well acted, and it almost seemed possible to sew people together from mouth to anus. What a psycho that Doctor was. My two favorite gore flicks have got to be....Wolfcreek, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre (remake).
