Question: if a person ran that for sale add for a new housing development he was creating, would that be legal in America? If not, then arguably “heaven” is so bad that it would be illegal – even in a Christian-majority nation like America!...because “heaven” is exactly that, an exclusive, posh, gated community where only Christians need apply. Would this be legal?

Me, I don’t know, but I do know that many things in the bible would be illegal if people follow the Bible as it was intended – such as blatant discrimination against gays and women.

    Your thoughts?

Comparing apples and oranges I see. Heaven is governed under the laws of God, not the laws of man. Try again.

If god's law is so incredible, then why don't we apply the laws of god in America, then, instead of this highly inferior (apparently) man-made law like we've had for the last 239 years or so!?

    - - - Updated - - -

Please explain (after all, I don't believe in god, so apparently I'm not too smart, they say.)

If this is illegal, then JESUS WOULD BE THROWN IN JAIL IN AMERICA FOR PRACTICING HIS BELIEFS (his exclusive gated community red-lines non-Christians, of course.) So Mohammad would be thrown in jail now for pedophilia, and Jesus for red-lining.

Like an outlaw, Jesus feels Christians are better than that the rest of us, above the law, it seems.

Are you now declaring to have such a close relationship with Jesus that you have positive and intimate knowledge of His feelings?

If it's good enough for Jesus, then shouldn't it be good enough for Christians in America today in their daily lives? This should be legal, it can be argued (if Jesus is wise, that is.)

The Bible says no lousy non-Christians in heaven, so unless the Bible is not accurate, Jesus is like a racist, exclusive, gated community manager who wants to keep the 'riff-raff' out (you know, Jews, Hindus, atheists, etc.)

Again, why are you desiring to use what some non-theists consider to be a unreliable source as an evidence?

My writing is often: "If the Bible is true, then ___________________.......and that part in insane......."

    If the bible is true.
I won't be going over this again.

I'm using the same source that many of the theists use (they believe it to be correct.)....

And there is the high probability that you believe it to be incorrect. So why are you using something that you consider to be incorrect as a reliable evidence? Quit evading the question.

BTW: It is time for me to settle in for a little TV... just to get a different type of entertainment.. so don't expect any further responses to you tonight.

You just love pointless questions don't you. Why should atheists care that the can not go to a place that they do not believe in?

Those who believe in that place, whether it exists or not, are taught to hate their fellow human who doesn't think like Jesus did ("they deserve hell"), and I care about what people think - thought leads to actions. For example, ISIS kills "non-believers" - just one example of the hatred taught by religion towards people with a different invisible friend in the sky. Pretty disgusting. Modern Secular Humanism doesn't lead people away from science, which a belief that magic is real tends to do.

    - - - Updated - - -

A housing development that said "Christians only"....should that be legal? Modern Secular Humanism says "no", but what do you say?

    - - - Updated - - -

    Oh I assure you, there's a point.

You continue to misrepresent Christianity. First, you are invited to the community. Second, Christians are taught to love and care for their fellow man, saved or not. Third, Isis is not Christianity.

That is not the argument he's trying to make. However, FreedomSeeker very often presents only part of the argument in order for you to do the rest yourself, while often misunderstanding exactly which logic steps people who aren't him will do.

Like more or less all the other ones, this is trying to point out inconsistencies in common religious ideas. In this case, I guess it's a variant on the unfairness of sending some people to heaven and the fact that most Christians will refrain to call Christianity unfair because of this.

Real estate agents are professional bigots. They take care of that without signs.

What happens to, for say 99.999999%+ of their total existence, to say Jews, according to ISIS: eternal torture
....what happens to Jews according to Jesus and pals: the same frickin thing!
....see, ISIS and Jesus are peas in a pod when it comes to hatred.

So let me ask it this way: should it be legal in America to sort of 'red-line' a neighborhood, to say that only whites, or say Christians, can live there - an exclusive (no 'riff-raff'), gated community, where non-desirables are excluded? If not, then realize that that's EXACTLY what Jesus' exclusive, gated community is ("heaven".) There is no difference. Both are supremacists, and hurtful to most of humanity. Monsters, plain and simple.

Good point, yes, so Jesus is just like a bigoted real estate agent, except on a far far bigger (i.e worse) scale, clearly.

So Indepedent Thinker, would it be ok if a real estate agent discriminated against, say, your family, because you guys converted to say Buddhism (just like Jesus does with his bigoted exclusive community)? I'd be appalled, but that's because I'm a Modern Secular Humanist, but what about you?

Correct. If an invisible friend has untold numbers of internal inconsistencies, then he's of course not likely to be real. Yes, Christians are unfair people to believe that after-life red-lining is ok, but during-life red-lining is not - that's why it's generally illegal. They are not fair people.
